Vitamin A is not the problem, copper is not the problem, polyunsaturated fat is not the problem, sugar is not the problem. The only thing that makes people sick is stress, not food, when we realize that we will cure all diseases. As long as we only say that the blame for everything is a vitamin, mineral or sugar, we will never cure. Without extremes, there is no disease. Every illness begins after a period of stress.

Tribes with high dairy consumption do not get sick. vitamin A is not the problem. Tribes who eat a kilo of chocolate a day do not get sick, copper is not the problem. Tribes that eat a lot of sugar a day do not get sick. sugar is not the problem. Tribes who eat large amounts of polyunsaturated fats from fish do not get sick, the fats are not the problem. All those people come to our civilization and make people sick that until now have not made them sick. They get sick from the extremes, not the food.

I agree to a large extent. I consumed a lot of foods most health nuts wouldn't eat most of my life and the things that made me sick were stressful conditions. I healed from severe burnout and mold toxicity using brain retraining. Many people are doing the same. I only tried this to get my liver and gut health top notch.

I did the gupta program, but many do the DNRS program as well. I didn't need to use the tools for very long either, because once it clicks you just realize wow I'm causing myself to be sick! I had panic attacks as a result of everything so I also used the DARE program which is similar in that it retrains your brain to see the fear of fear as not a problem anymore. I was able to fly across the country using that program despite massive anxiety I had at the time. I did almost have a panic attack on a plane once but I just calmly road it out. I was actually living in mold when I started recovering too. But that has obviously done some damage to my body that I still have some symptoms from like a rash in my buttcrack that I was hoping the detox diet would heal, and it has gotten better, but not cured.

Definitive statements with zero evidence.  Extreme claims require extreme evidence.

Retinoids and carotenoids are not nutrients.  Now that is an extreme claim.

Wow.  If only we knew of someone who ate a carotenoid and retinoid deficient diet for nine years and not only did not go blind during the first year but did not die during the second year after ALL the fraudulent scientists declared that would happen.   In fact blindness and death are required outcomes for there to be a shred of truth to the USRDA dogma.

Even more curious that the diet in question was not just deficient in retinoids and carotenoids, it depleted them.   Even more curious that this individual is improving steadily and progressively against all dogma previously laid out, including previous extreme claims on this post.  

But sure, why not put in all sorts of time on a blog that proves vitamin A is a toxin not a nutrient and make all sorts of unbacked claims that the author of the blog is flat out wrong all the time?   Ignore his well documented experience.  Ignore and trivialize that experience as well as a growing list of people here and on Garrett Smith's NutritionDetective.com LoveYourLiver network who are improving daily.  We are all anywhere from 6 years to a few months in on this program.  

Meanwhile, hope you do something more constructive for yourself and others soon.  Feel better.

and people who have not taken protein for years. steve jobs 30 years eating only fruits always healthy until he died of pancreatic cancer. Vitamin A is not the problem, the problem is where it lives. African tribes that eat tons of vitamin A a day from milk and cheese and are healthy. The body adapts to living without vitamin A, without fats, without proteins. When entire tribes eat a lot of vitamin A and are healthy, it shows that the problem is not vitamin A, it is something else.

Thank you. I'm glad the program helped you. Maybe it's time for me to check it out. I've heard of the Gupta program. They both look very professional.

I don't even know where you are getting all of these from. Your use of anecdotes and unsubstantiated claims are not useful.

I'm a housewife and don't have a stressful life and yet I was becoming desperate health-wise until I read Grant's work.

I think stress harms by burning up your B vitamins.   I was burning my B-vitamins up in other ways, not via what people think of as "stress".   (such as a daily alcohol drink)

If you were to say to me, lil chick I think the basis of VA toxicity might be long-term B-vitamin deficiency, I might agree though!

But I probably would not agree to long term supplementation, but diet overhaul instead, including cutting back (but not severely) on VA.

Because part of the way I got so in trouble with B vitamins was my ridiculously high VA intake!
