Audrey's log
Quote from Audrey on March 30, 2022, 10:20 amThis is just a tiny, positive update after three years of being being low A... I have never made a log here, and I wish I had but it's never too late! I do plan to give a proper three year update very soon 🙂
Anyway, my tiny update is I thought I was actually getting a cavity which had me feeling a bit bummed, but after visiting the dentist today he said my teeth looked great and that the cavity I thought I was getting is actually my teeth remineralising, which left me feeling very positive. I have noticed my teeth feel good and I am having some gum regrowth as well. I had some regrowth a year ago but I think it is still improving 🙂
I've had some other positive things happening, finally. Will share more soon.

Quote from Hermes on March 30, 2022, 2:01 pm@audreyLove such updates! It's very encouraging to read positive changes in people. I'm glad the cavity turned out to be something completely different: mineralization actually. Looking forward to reading more of your positive changes.

Quote from Audrey on August 4, 2022, 7:06 am3 year and 3 month update (I've been slow to update due to some minor setbacks bc of oats)
Here goes my list:
Better
-panic attacks
-dizziness (after 2 years of constant, unbearable dizziness 24/7, like being on a boat)
-stopped benzos (1 1/2 years ago) which, I now realise, were needed bc of BILE IN MY BLOOD, BRAIN.
-ears more clear
-clean teeth, small gum regrowth
-jaw bone fully healed after jaw injury surgery, amazed by the bone and gum regrowth
-neck and shoulders way more flexible, ropeiness in neck gone
-weight loss, each year lose some, gain a bit, only to lose a bit more
-bum cheek pain gone
-hair softer
-arm hair regrowth , more hair than I have ever had (6 months ago lost all my arm hair!)
-sleep mostly deep, sometimes wake but usually only once
-some ASD symptoms have lessened, I am calmer, more joyful, eye contact better, can go with the flow easier
-red thread veins improving after discovering iceberg lettuce (vit K)
-freckles disappearing on face
-can be longer in the sun, hardly burn
-bounce back more quickly in general
-head pressure way less, almost goneGetting better, small improvements
-brain fog
-forehead rash (mostly from sulphite foods, poor detox)
-morning anxiety much better, I notice it on days I have been pushing too hard the fibre or when I need more potassium (breathing exercises have been a lifesaver on this diet!)
-skin, especially face and arms
-vision in right eye
-feet no longer orange
-feet softer, heels still dry, sometimes they improve
-tinnittus has improved a lot
-OCD, up and down
-right shoulder pain came up this year for me, I think it’s related to zinc deficiency, slowly getting better, but I go very gently with the zinc, mag, selenium and molybdenum, supplements scare the crap out of meLittle to no improvement
-skin on hands
-beef intolerance, it was great eating beef in the beginning of the diet (I came into the diet as a vegetarian) but now it appeals far less, so I eat more chicken and beef mostly when I crave it
-chronic cough (after being ill) but no more coughing before I sleep which is amazing
-breathlessness, when I push the diet too hard with fibre, esp. oats (no more oats)
-right nerve in eye the same, it sometimes flares, can’t find a pattern
-libido high, sometimes very low, it fluctuates
-thread veins on thighs and ankles
-outer eye brows still thin, less lashes, little improvementIn the beginning of this diet I thought i’d be better in 5-6 weeks, then I gave it 6 months. That turned into a year, and now after 3 years I just keep going :’) bc the improvements are happening, mostly slow but they are happening. It’s been difficult to get those close to me onboard, esp. when I am still improving myself. But wow, when I look back to where I was 3, 4, 5 years ago, I am blown away. Maybe those closest to me will see this. I have SO MUCH gratitude, to all of you who share, esp. to Garrett and Grant and Jenny, and others for sharing so much vital information and personal information. I've noticed the most important realisation I've had on this diet is to take care of stress/stressors, anything to lower stress. Learning how to breathe properly again has helped get me through some tough times, esp. times when I've pushed too hard. Forest walks, nature, walks in the dark, have all helped tremendously too.
If I've forgotten anything I will add it as I remember 🙂

Quote from Audrey on November 27, 2022, 3:15 amThought I'd share a rough update, the positive and not so positive, after just over 3,5 years.
Things I am doing differently compared to 5 months ago:
-eating 2 eggs a day (feels good so far)
-regularly eating gluten (rye/spelt)
-zinc 5 mg every other day (seems very little but I have at least been able to increase it succesfully)positive
-bile flow is suddenly better for a couple of months, though it can cause anxiety if it flows too quickly
-2 easy bowel movements a day (sometimes more but then I know to cut back on fats or fibre)
-still lots of energy
-glimpses of eyelash regrowth
-facial skin good for the most part, skin on my arms and hands has been taking the longest to heal, but I didn’t burn in the sun this year for the first time! (skin on legs dry)
-able to exercise most days (walk/cycle/core exercises)
-sleeping well and deeply most nights
-better and more loving moods, I bounce back quicker, less irritable
-managing 5mg of zinc every day
-applesauce speeds up detox!less positive
-can’t stand being near my devices for long esp. near my laptop (anxious) (could be a good thing, that I am feeling more connected to myself again)
-electrolytes feel off. whenever I take mag spray I get more symptoms of mag deficiency (headaches, eyebrow twitching, anxiety, body aches.) when I take mag with potassium chloride I feel lousy. I crave salt which also makes me feel lousy when I indulge
-still anxious
-off balance (could be anxiety or my neck)
-sore neck (retracing or sleeping wrong)
-burning nasal airways (even when my nostrils are moist inside)
-still low stomach acid (?) and coughing
-some blood sugar issues when I used to have none
-migraines (detoxing too fast? or chronic mag deficiency?)
-I still eat a bit of light green lettuce (vit k?) but it gives me these smooth red spots on my face that do eventually disappear, it’s like a blood flow thing, I don’t know how to explain it. lettuce keeps my sinuses clear
-new spider veins on legs, itchy shins
-sore right shoulder for a few months now (old injury?)I believe I have been slow to actually detox stuff out of me because I am not a big meat eater and I used to be vegetarian mostly coming into this diet.
Quite disheartened at this stage, I guess bc I was feeling so good for a while, but I believe could be going deeper, or bile flow is suddenly better and maybe releasing too much bile is creating all the anxiety, which leads to balance issues etc?
The electrolytes I cannot figure out!
Sometimes I take B12 spray.
Being in nature, walking and proper breathing are things that continue to help me the most and watching bile flow.
I am learning so much from all of you. Thank you for being here.

Quote from Andrew B on November 27, 2022, 4:33 amI would say it's encouraging. There's either a lot of leakiness and/or bile is flowing stronger. I'd keep with the eggs at 2 a day for a bit longer. I'd suggest 5-6 months is the time needed to assess their help. Absorption should improve with the choline/eggs so magnesium, potassium and zinc might recover with a balanced diet incorporating these. You might find even the 5 mgs of zinc pushes the detox too much at this point. I slowed things down as best I could and anxiety reduced and I felt better. Eating lots of red potatoes and parsnips for carbs, apples, sunflower seed milks with cashews, reducing protein and careful not to do too much fat.

Quote from Audrey on November 27, 2022, 8:27 amThanks Andrew. I've also wondered about the zinc, sometimes it is difficult to figure out what is what. I think I will try this week without it and see what/if anything changes. Are you peeling your red potatoes? I forgot to mention that I am eating a bit more quinoa too.

Quote from Andrew B on November 27, 2022, 8:33 amI'm slicing the red potatoes with the skins still on and boiling them. I would emphasise that I couldnt eat loads of potatoes until eating the eggs repaired some of the leakiness. There's a lot of choline in the skins which is why I stopped peeling them. Quinoa, fermented beetroot juice and organic spelt for betaine may be part of my recent success. Betaine does make you pee a bit more at night so dont worry about that or reduce quinoa a bit as it's very high in betaine.
