before and after - 30 days
Quote from jobo on September 21, 2018, 1:59 amI have suffered with this dermatitis/eczema for about a decade. It started on the tips of my fingers. They would get dry and crack and form little micro tears. Then once the skin was broken, inflammation would set in and my finger tips would swell up. My finger prints were no longer. Steroid creams would help but only temporarily. I tried every moisturiser there was, I applied creams religiously and even wore a special glove on my hand to ensure the creams never rubbed off while sleeping.
Over the years it just got worse. At one point the skin developed blisters (with liquid under) all over and would itch so bad that when I scratched it, the skin would open up and get infected. One finger swelled up so bad that I had to go to a hospital for antibiotics and special wound treatment. I eventually could not use my right hand for anything. Even lifting up something heavy would create enough pressure to open the thin scaly skin. My hand looked like something out of a horror movie. I was about to give up all hope and just learn to accept these circumstances until I found this site and decided to eliminate the vitamin a foods I was eating. I also had a swollen nail bed and a nail that looked deformed with ridges.
Nothing I have ever done has brought me the progress I have experienced in the last 30 days, nothing at all !
I should also mention that I have not used creams in the last few years, no steroids, nothing.

Quote from jobo on October 2, 2018, 1:14 amjust simple things like white rice and beef/lamb, potatoes, apples, bananas. Some dark chocolate here and there. Coconut water...black coffee.
so ive simplified my diet right down to a few basic foods and that suits me better.

Quote from jobo on October 3, 2018, 1:36 amI use some coconut oil for cooking and the rest of the fats come from the beef and lamb. Sometimes the cut of meat is abit fattier and so I get extra fat but in general I keep fat low. For example I get a big leg of lamb and put it in the slow cooker and that's my meat for the week. Or ill fry up some ground beef and use that as my protein.

Dermatitis herpetiformis also known as the Celiac Rash. The first picture is from March of this year when I was taking vitamin A but had already been gluten free for years. The second picture is the same spot after going on A elimination for about 3 months.
My main dermatitis lesions were on both elbows (much worse than the picture above) and those gradually resolved after stopping gluten. It was a slow process taking close to two years for complete healing but even then I'd occasionally have slight flares and I couldn't pinpoint why. Now I'm thinking it could have been related to my A intake.
For the record I never got the spot in the picture above officially diagnosed so it may not be dermatitis herpetiformis but still it is vastly improved!
