The COVID-19 Vitamin A Theory is Going Mainstream
Quote from Johannes on December 4, 2021, 9:33 amA group of authors from Jackson State University recently released a surprisingly informative review article about the connection between COVID-19 and Vitamin A (“Liver Damage and Exposure to Toxic Concentrations of Endogenous Retinoids in the Pathogenesis of COVID-19 Disease: Hypothesis”). It contains more new information than I was ever able to uncover, and I highly recommend reading the full article. Here's the abstract:
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has a marked tropism for the biliary tract; it damages the bile ducts and hepatocytes and can lead to liver decompensation, cirrhosis, and sepsis. The pathogenesis of liver damage and its association with damage to the lung, heart, and brain and to the other protean manifestations of COVID-19 disease are not fully understood. In particular, tissue damage from thinning and leaky blood vessels appears to result from an inflammatory response to the virus rather than the virus itself. This article outlines a new hypothesis of the nature of the inflammatory factor responsible for tissue damage in COVID-19. Review of the literature reveals that COVID-19 disease closely resembles an endogenous form of hypervitaminosis A. We propose that SARS-CoV-2 virus-induced liver damage causes retinoic acid and stored retinyl esters to be released into the circulation in toxic concentrations, unbound to protein, with resulting damage to organs including the lungs, heart, blood vessels, and skin. Several lines of evidence support this model of disease causation. Subject to testing, strategies for the effective treatment and prevention of COVID-19 could include targeting the action and accumulation of retinoids.

Thanks for the post!
I don't know about this paper going mainstream just yet. The writers of that paper is Anthony R. Mawson, Ashley M. Croft and Federico Gonzalez-Fernandez.
At least Anthony R. Mawson has been looking into hypervitaminosis A for several decades, much longer than anyone else I have heard of. I guess Ashley M. Croft have also been at it for a very long time since he is working with Anthony R. Mawson.
I believe the three most important persons spreading the message that vitamin A can be really bad are:
Anthony R. Mawson
Grant Genereux
Dr. Garrett Smith

Thanks for sharing that paper.

Quote from Hermes on March 10, 2022, 2:53 pm@ggenereux2014This is an unsettling story. Medical fraud is happening in front of our eyes. I'm glad this soft-spoken female scientist is speaking up. It's just the PR department of Pfizer and al. is much stronger. They will be heard. And not the voices of logic and common sense (Ivermectin is so much cheaper than gene therapy).

Imagine: ‘your DNA shows you are likely to get dementia in 30 years, take this long lasting injectable now or you will not be able to use the nhs and will be a burden on society’.

When I try to play this video I can't get it to play beyond the first third, OR sometimes I can't get the sound to play. Pretty strange.
From what I gather, though, the video shows there was a hidden hand in the downplaying of the helpfulness of ivermectin.
People don't start taking horse meds for nothing! The drug stores were forbidden to sell it. It is worthy of exposure, this story.
