1 Year - Overall Blood Test

Page 1 of 2Next

After 1 year strictly low vitamin A diet my Retinol level is 27,00 µg/100ml - range 20 to 60 .

I am Italian and the reference values are different but after conversion 27 µg/100ml---> 0.96 µmol/L.

If I consider @Grant labs test values range 1.5-3.5 I'm already vitamin A "deficient" .

Attached overall blood tests.

Only comparison is Cholesterol, 2 years ago it was 240 mg/100ml, now is 205 .

Thanks for sharing @tropico   How are you feeling?  Any health issues still ongoing?

Sounds like your diet worked. I am just starting and got a result of 3.0 prior to starting.

Do you feel better for it?

Wow that is encouraging. Mine started of quite high so will be at least 18 months to get deficient in VA.

I feel very well than before, some bad day but overall great improvement!

5 years Peat diet with liver e vit.A supplement, In the last year, I have become allergic to shellfish, unfortunately still here even after a 1 year zero vitamina A diet.

Other improvements:

mental clarity
Good mood
recover extreme fatigue
no yellowish skin
no  dandruff
deep sleep with high dream activity
decreased body fat mass
urination (from 6-8 to 3-4 per day)
healthy prostate
improved night view (especially blue and green light)
normalized blood pressure  (120-80)
recover ear tinnitus
recover race heartbeats
recover hypoglycemic sensations

Glad you're feeling on top of it!

I thought i'd be done with it by now(approaching 11 months), but i still see occasional dandruff and mood swings occur. Almost there 😀

Mood swing is normal, detox stage...

@tropico

That's a great achievement and an impressive list of improvements. Very happy for you!

Garrett Smith has a video where he talks about various vitamin A tests. He says in that video that he considers .7 micro-mols/liter or 20 micro-grams/100ml to be the upper limit for what we're aiming for. IIRC he says in that video that he came to that limit in consultation with @ggenereux2014

Here's a handy converter website: http://unitslab.com/node/212

Ah, here's the video:

Excellent Josh, thanks for sharing this video

UPDATE

26 months

Retinol level is 38.00 µg/100ml - range 20 to 60 / 1.3571 µmol/L

My sieric level increased.

Since my goal was 24 months, the last 2 months i have cheated 3 or 4 times. Once with high vitamin A food, fish and fat dairy, so i think the cause is this, because after this meal I got acne on my face.

Is it possible that a few meals raise level of vitamin A so much?

p.s. cholesterol levels have dropped further to 180 (240-> 205 @ 12 months -> 180 @ 26 months)
