1 Year - Overall Blood Test
Quote from Orion on October 27, 2020, 9:34 amInteresting, serum retinol is good indicator, but not a final verdict on how much VA is in storage. With those fluctuation could mean there is more to deplete... probably important to go on how you feel/symptoms. How are you feeling overall @tropico

My understanding is that serum VA is not accurately telling you stores of VA and also the many variants of VA. So if your VA has increased, your original VA test was probably not a true level. I have heard people having low readings and then it jumps up. Although you being at 2 years it makes you wonder what can trigger a higher reading and if the food you ate did it.
Considering your cholesterol has gone down is positive that your body is managing the VA elimination far better than early on.
Your chart certainly sounds positive re your health. Is there anything else you are still wanting improvement on?
UPDATE 26 months Retinol level is 38.00 µg/100ml - range 20 to 60 / 1.3571 µmol/L
My sieric level increased. Since my goal was 24 months, the last 2 months i have cheated 3 or 4 times. Once with high vitamin A food, fish and fat dairy, so i think the cause is this, because after this meal I got acne on my face.
Is it possible that a few meals raise level of vitamin A so much?
p.s. cholesterol levels have dropped further to 180 (240-> 205 @ 12 months -> 180 @ 26 months)

Yes, I want to improve hair loss (MPB), initially stop loss e slight regrowth, then no further improvement.
Gray hair only got worse.
Vision greatly improved, but not 100%.

I very much doubt that your increased serum retinol is due to cheating a little bit. My guess is that you had retinol stored in tissues that is now making it's way out. In addition to the liver, we have lots of retinol (in various forms) stored in fat and in the skin. As your body becomes more efficient at detox, I suspect that your body begins to release more. Or, your tissues are releasing more but your detox is not very efficient so it is 'backing up' and your serum levels are rising.
Garrett Smith's detox protocol offers oodles of great advice on how to make your body more efficient / effective at detoxing. I recommend checking it out.
The good thing is you are feeling great, and that's the most important. The sky's the limit!
