5 years success or 6 months failure
Quote from Beata on November 18, 2019, 4:55 amGrant Genereux has been on the VAD diet for over 5 years and he is standing taller. Either his bones are remineralising or his discs are rehydrating.
Many people in the survey seem to do well for 6 months. Afterward they feel terrible, usually reintroduce some VA foods, and report feeling better.
Detox? Did Grant have periods of feeling worse and getting over them?
Mental anguish because we were told that VA is necessary?
Deficiencies that are the outcome of the diet but are not related to VA?
Or perhaps some nutrients that are bound in some ways to VA and their decline causes symptom?
I am just thinking aloud and cringe that science is so poor in understanding the basics.

RE: Either his bones are remineralising or his discs are rehydrating.
I’m not sure of the mechanism, but I think I am standing taller just because my posture has straightened out. I’m no longer hunched over at the neck and shoulders. My dental check ups over the last three years have been very good too, and at my last one my dentist said that my teeth and gums were in excellent health.
RE: Detox? Did Grant have periods of feeling worse and getting over them?
Yes, I went through a lot of cycles, let’s call them flare-ups followed by long and slow recovery periods.
RE: Mental anguish because we were told that VA is necessary?
I think it is nearly impossible for the body to have a dependency on such a highly toxic molecule. But, most importantly, based on my experiments, and that of others on small animals, we now know that the original experiments from the 1920s were not valid. Therefore, that negates the only evidence used to determine that it was a “vitamin” in the first place.
RE: Deficiencies that are the outcome of the diet but are not related to VA?
I think this is very possible. People might want to check out their current diet with a nutrition calculator, for example:
But, there is clearly something more going on, and a restrictive elimination diet alone is not the ideal recovery path.
RE: I am just thinking aloud and cringe that science is so poor in understanding the basics.
Yes, agreed. So, it’s now up to us citizen researcher (DIY) types to get to the truth on it. What so strange to me is that in other fields of science and technology there has been massive advancements made over the last 100 years. Whereas, the real track record in regards to the chronic diseases is abysmal and their only interest is in “treating” them. Actually curing them is not even considered a possibility. But, that's understandable once you learn that they are now making about 4 TRILLION $ per year in the US market alone.
Thanks

Quote from lil chick on November 18, 2019, 7:54 amTwo great posts above! Yes, I'm feeling it, that 6 month "whatever it is"! :')
I'll write about it on my log, so as not to choke this one. It's strange because we (most) somehow know we must carry on, (I'm thinking because we do feel better overall) but the road is sure bumpy!
I think Sarabeth's posts co-insides with this one, and perhaps we need to be smart and build up a little base of knowledge about how to home-cure some of the nuisance indignities of the looong haul! In other words, use each annoying symptom as a sign that we are not replete in something, and perhaps add a food or lifestyle change to help it.
