K2 is something that just needs to be in adequate supply on a daily basis throughout your life. I wouldn't really expect to see any obvious results from supplementation for a period. In studies it has shown benefits for heart disease and other problems.
It is possible that mk-4 had some positive effects, I do not know. With vitamin D, when there was a strong deficit, I felt the benefits.

Seafood and eggs seem like the most convenient and socially appropriate option for us. Paleolithic man also ranged over wide expanses so was less affected by micronutrient deficiencies due to soil micronutrient content. Later on dairy products became a crucial source of iodine.
