In 1908, it was observed that rabbits fed meat, milk and eggs developed arterial lesions like those of atherosclerosis in humans (Ignatovski, 1908).

Was it the meat, the milk, or the eggs?

Anthony Mawson has always seemed like a mysterious figure to me. What do the medical establishment think of all his work? The impression I get is he’s doing all this research but no one in the medical community is really listening to him?

What does Mawson think of Ggenereux’s and GS’s work? Does Anthony Mawson believe Vitamin A is a toxin like Grant does or does he believe something different?

If Anthony Mawson is linking Vitamin A to all these diseases what are his ideas or strategies for addressing this issue?

@ggenereux2014 Thank you for posting this.  Now I know why you and Garrett recommend him.  Need to drill down through his work.  Has you had a chance to talk with Mawson?  Is he familiar with you or Garrett?

@Tommy I remember those studies on rabbits when they were used to vilify red meat, eggs,.......

If memory serves it is always a bad idea to feed herbivores meat, milk and eggs.

@alexm Those are good questions.  Given the content in this paper my bet is Mawson has linked dietary fiber with removing vitamin A from the body the same way Garrett and Grant have.  Perhaps, Garrett and Grant got the idea from Mawson?

@joe I didn’t actually get to read the paper until now so that’s interesting he mentioned fiber.

Thanks for posting Grant. I’m not looking at research atm but will make an exception for Anthony Mawson! I’ve so far just read the abstract and it looks very interesting. Too much academic work is a factor in my seizures, presumably by depleting NAD and/or increasing glutamate, which seems to be my final excitotoxic trigger. Until I regain resilience I’m having to be very careful.

I do know that Grant was in touch with Anthony Mawson, at least when I was in Garrett Smith's Inner Circle (2018-2021), so hopefully he will be able to reply to the questions, although he may not think it ethical to share Anthony Mawson’s opinions unless they are in his papers.

Edit: @joe  Garrett Smith got the fibre idea from Karen Hurd. I can tell you the detail of Garrett Smith’s thinking from end 2018 to mid 2021. I was one of his closest helpers. I followed it until I realised he’d got much of it wrong. His attitude and the tone of his programme is also completely wrong. He took a real turn for the worse in 2021 when he decided his opinion was always correct and anyone disagreeing should be cancelled (cult like?). His programme has severely damaged me. Or should I re word that - I became severely damaged while I was following his programme and was his client. Am I bitter? Probably yes. Working on that as not helpful.

I would like to make a specific comment about the rabbit biology. Rabbits are one of the very few herbivores that is completly vegan. While cows, sheep etc are listed as complete herbivores they are more like really bad hunters. It's not their specialty, but if a cow finds a dead rabbit in the field it will often eat it. Rabbits on the other hand exhibit no such behaviours and are one of the few animals that has a special inability to handle dietary cholesterol. Most animals have more or less well-developed systems for handling dietary cholesterol while in the rabbit that ability completly lacks. I don't remember if it is due to a complete removal of the dna structure regulating it, or if it's just permanently switched off, but the result is that anything that has cholesterol (not sure if they handle animal proteins or fats either) immediately makes them sick. So for some reason they picked about the only animal that exhibits this respons for their tests.

Hi @joe,

Yes, Anthony Mawson and I have been in contact a quite a bit over the last 6 years or so. We've become good friends over that time.

Anthony Mawson has been investigating vA, both its role as a vitamin and as a toxin for over 30 years. He is actually the pioneer in really understanding cholestasis and toxic bile spillage causing disease. It is the core thesis in many of his papers.

Yes, Anthony is very much aware of what we are doing in this project.

@ggenereux2014

@jenny please do elaborate.  I have seen zero conflict between Garrett, Grant or Mawson so far.  Agreed on his tone.  I sympathize with him though.  I have experience with being gaslit by those who asked my help 30 years ago and ignored it and blamed me for their problems only to come around now and use that advice and credit me.  Nice even though they suffered for 30 years before trying.  Still why on earth would I trust them to use my advice well today and not try to blame me for their mistakes tomorrow?

Care to give details on mistakes that hurt?
