Aggressive Plasma Detox

I am going in for a plasma donation today. It has me wondering, is there a way to maximize the benefit from plasma donation/bloodletting? I was thinking of the different things that seem to have a Vit A "movement factor". No Vit A themselves but cause spikes in circulating vit a for one reason or another.

The two biggest ones that jumped out were exercise and alcohol. It seems they provoke the liver to dump bile which causes a rise in vit a in other parts of the body, including the blood/serum levels. Is there a way to time this roughly, so that you could make sure you have "dislodged" the maximum amount of vitamin a before going for a blood/plasma draw?

Sounds silly, but I am trying to do that this time. I just got out of the gym, and am going in to a plasma center. It might take me three hours because I will be a first timer at this location. I am sneaking in a couple airplane shots of organic vodka. I plant to drink 1.5 shots in the bathroom shortly after confirming a spot in line. I need to be careful because they advocate no alcohol for 24 hours before donating.

However this seems completely an insurance thing, as they are afraid an alcoholic vargant will come in for plasma donation (which is paid here) and then can claim they were too drunk to give consent. So I will bring a Sprite Zero (0 mcg vit A) to try and cover any smell in my breath. Feels a little sleazy but hey, AI tells me that plasma donations are completely unaffected by alcohol. And I won't turn down free money for a service that I would have paid for knowing what I know now.

It went fine. They invited me back for four more donations within the month. I think I might do it, if I can space it out well. Does anyone have input on how long it takes vit a to get back into serum after a plasma donation?

won't the poor sap who gets the plasma end up drunk and high VA?

Maybe you should get a fleam and do your own blood letting?    (don't have any experience with this however)

AI tells me thats not how it works. Alcohol is all about the legality of consent for plasma places. When I got there it was a little embarrassing, most of the donors seemed semi homeless, full of tats. All questions were about prostitution, intravenous drug use, and hard narcotic intoxication (SIR PLEASE ARE YOU ON COCAINE RIGHT NOW? MAY I TEST FOR IT?).

As for doing my own, no way. They are so professional at csl plasma, the lounge chairs are nice, they seem adept at making sure you don't bleed out. As for the high va in the blood, oh well. We are on the lunatic fringe. It's like getting rid of kodak Eastman stock early, are you sad that someone else bought something you believe to have zero future use? Inheriting immediate risk?

No, no more than I am feeling guilty about getting paid for something I would have paid for. The blood medication users need it short term (I'm sure all would benefit from va detox instead but I can only do so much). Whoever receives the blood plasma will almost surely be in taking vastly more VA in their weekly diet than I am kicking out in my plasma. Or at least, I hope so. I'm not sure how else vit a is supposed to leave the body.

@joseph-5 I think I may have found an answer to your question. I wrote a few posts in the thread why does it take so long?

It does seem strange how posts happen sometimes and I don't see them for days.    Is it just because I need to refresh my caches?   or something more complicated?
