Insulin Resistance is also one of the key bio-markers for Alzheimer's disease, and CAD. Then, elevated RBPs are the key bio-marker for insulin resistance, and of course for diabetes too.

However, once someone has exhausted their ability to generate the needed RBPs, they will then start to have free form retinol in circulation, and that leads to malformed proteins.

It's all interconnected.
