"Advertisements for xxxxxxxxx: a collection of useless anecdotes about people doing substantially different things not described in sufficient detail to deduce anything meaningful except that there is still a sufficiently gullible populace for charlatans to make a killing"

So thankful I stumbled upon ------some program------- and --------some program-------
I had hypothyroidism when I started this program, which I had developed after going keto and incorporating fasting approximately 8 years ago🤔. I recently had my labs drawn and now after 8 years I'm hyperthyroid. I know ------Dr some guy------ says that's the healing process in reverse, so I'm looking at that as my body is healing from this program. I'm hoping that this program will also improve my estrogen, progesterone and testosterone all of which fell to very low or undetectable levels while I was doing keto and fasting.
I no longer have migraines (I almost didn't type that because I don't want to jinx it 😬) and my sleep has improved.
One of the main reasons that I had started fasting was because I had so much pain (muscle and joint pain) and I had read and watched videos from many of the fasting influencers about how fasting can help with pain. For me, it never helped to decrease the pain. That's why I eventually increased my lengths of fasts until I was doing water only fasts 3 days/week. Now, on this program, with no fasting, my pain has significantly decreased.
I'm still learning what works for me and what doesn't and working on listening to my body and tweaking things as I need to. I'm discovering for myself that what worked a month ago may not work now (case in point, beans were working and now they're not).
There are many knowledgeable and helpful members in this group and I am thankful for all of the advise, recipes and experiences they share on here!

I took the accutane cream during a time frame of 5 years (everytime acne showed up again) in my youth.
What followed was horrible. A decade ongoing heavy depressions with suicide attemps, worsening of my allergies/histamine issues, eye disease keratoconus, mouth ulcer disease with receeding gums all day long followed, mind fog, always tiredness (needed 12-15 hours of sleep) / low energy levels, permanent passivity, nightblindness, I began to swallow the almost equally worse finasterid pill to fight the uprising alopecia, lower back pain from the tiniest amount of stress, shaky hands, no dreams at night, smelly breath, smelly sweat and high blood pressure. I began doing Grants diet with more variety (this diet here is even better) 5 1/2 years ago with great success. Depressions solved fast and everything else beside keratoconus (it stopped progressing), , alopecia (stopped progressing without Finasterid) low energy/fatique and still too long sleep time needed without much dreams (9hours) get solved with diet alone in a time frame of 4-5 years. I joined here -------some program------ to improve with the rest of my smptoms because i hit a wall.
I'm only 1/2 year on the ----------some program-------- now and I could reduce my overall sleep time to 7 hours, had slightly improvements regarding my eyes and my fatigue is gone. Also sport performance increased a lot and my body is in a great shape now (very lean and good core muscles). Surprisingly even new hairs in my receeding corners showed up again recently. I also get more active in my life what feels pretty good, but that's still something i have to work on.I totally recommend everything what -----Dr some guy--------- have been done and is doing and the alternative knowledge the members share here in general If any kind of problem regarding health is showing up at some point. Grants findings saved my life and -----dr. some guy----- solved the most issues in regards to detox and liver health. I consider me as a healthy humen beeing now.
What had suprised me the most is my completely gone allergies now. I had them allready as a young kid ( got it after following the typical vaccination schedules before school) and struggled a lot with this in my entire life. I also appreciate the support for members who can't afford direct consultations. I got way more great informations and solutions to my problems than I expected here at the beginning.

I've just discovered that, for me, there's a connection between leg cramps and bile dumps. I sometimes get leg cramps in the middle of the night, or in the morning, even though I take a ton of potassium every day. I also wake up much earlier than I want to, often around 4am or 5am. I'm unable to go back to sleep after this happens, even though I haven't had enough sleep.
Today I woke up at 4am. At 5.30am it dawned on me to take some charcoal. So I took three capsules of charcoal and a half glass of water. I fell asleep about 30-40 minutes later, which is a miracle for me. I still had to work really hard on falling back to sleep, but finally it worked.
What I noticed was that I didn't get any leg cramps after I had taken the charcoal, or when I woke up later. Which is unusual for me.
The only other time I get leg cramps is when I go snow skiing. Maybe the extreme physical exertion of skiing (I'm not a good skier) triggers a bile dump, which then causes leg cramps. As you can imagine, getting leg cramps while traveling at speed down a ski slope is not a good thing.
Up till now, I've been treated leg cramps on an ad hoc basis using an Australian mouth spray called CrampFix, which is basically just vinegar, along with microscopic quantities of magnesium, sodium, potassium and calcium.
I've read articles on skiing websites that say you can fix cramps by drinking pickle juice, or eating mustard. I wonder if the magic ingredient is something sour (like vinegar, pickle juice or mustard), rather than the minerals added to CrampFix.
Maybe I should consume lots of charcoal right before I go skiing next time.
I wonder what the connection between a sour taste and bile dumping is? Or maybe there is no connection, but the sour taste fixes the leg cramps in some other way.
If you're wondering why don't I just take more magnesium, I've found that magnesium makes my leg cramping much worse. Potassium helps, but magnesium doesn't, at this stage.
I'll have to keep some charcoal capsules next to the bed.
Update: I've been keeping some charcoal capsules and a glass of water next to the bed since I posted the original post. They have been effective, so far, in reducing and/or preventing cramping. It's not immediate, however. If I need immediate relief, I still use the CrampFix vinegar spray. That stops the cramping within seconds. But I try to take the charcoal capsules in the middle of the night, before the cramping sets in. When I wake to go to the bathroom during the night, I take the opportunity to swallow a few charcoal capsules with water. That means I don't get cramping later, when it is time to get up.

Quote from lil chick on October 21, 2024, 12:32 pmI think it makes sense that these (albeit interesting) anecdotes should be collected together because they aren't like member reports where you can go into a discussion with the person and ask questions and get answers.
@sand You say to want the content at this forum to blossom, but you haven't updated your progress for 7 months! What's up with that?
I'm sure there are other members reading this thread who don't realize it's time for an update!
And perhaps a lurker here and there who could come out of the woodwork.

@lil-chick I update when I have more data or if things change, but thanks for the reminder! I am one of the ignorants on this forum, so I prefer to sit back and enjoy the smart people discuss. We are missing several key players from the A-team here, because one R-team player is ruining things for everybody. I’m not as much interested in talking much myself, but that this keeps being a free speech community were scienctific discussions can thrive. But right now we have a kid on the front row with violent diarrhea, no wonder people are leaving
