Approved juices on Low VA diet

Does anyone know any good low sugar juice recipes that are approved for this diet? I used to do celery but have cut it out a month ago when started this diet and was considering what else I could use. Some ideas I had was peeled cucumber juice(if that's any good!), perhaps a peeled cucumber, celery, lemon, ginger combo. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this or juices that work on this diet.

Lemonade is mentioned as a sometimes food here and there on this site.

Is there something you are hoping to get from this drink?  If it's minerals or enzymes or what?  And perhaps look to tradition?   Juicing is just so modern and fad, LOL.... Broth, home-skimmed raw milk or home-made buttermilk?  The vinegar drink?

I'm sort of thinking juicing could be in many cases too much veg toxins, but maybe peeled cukes would be pretty good and yummy.   I wonder about watermelon juicing.

You could instead get out your blender.  There's always the pina colada (coconut and pineapple) and banana strawberry smoothies!

@lil-chick

Good point. Was really just looking for something liquid and light on days I want to skip breakfast. Lemonade could be a good option there. Full fat/whole raw milk gives me bloating, but I noticed you wrote "home-skimmed raw milk". Is that easier on the digestion you think for sensitive guts? I have never tried butter milk on the vinegar drink you mention. I hear you on the veg toxins... So funny coming from hearing so many vegan health experts claims in the past to change that paradigm 🙂 I have a vitamix so smoothies are always an option but was also trying to keep it low sugar lol

I suppose skimmed milk is only easier on your gut if it was the fat (and VA?) bothering you.  Not that that can't be.

Kombucha was mentioned on a recent thread, it's got sugar though

I switched up my breakfast today, went for local-made sausage and home-made organic dairy-free biscuits (the fat was coconut oil).    Not what ur looking for!  I'm not the type to be able to miss b'fast.

If I was skipping breakfast I guess I'd just drink coffee  :0

I had ancestors who swore the vinegar drink kept them young, and they did live a long time.

I guess my mantra now is meat and white carbs, white carbs and meat, the rest is just garnish!

I know this isn't quite the answer you are looking for, but we are really enjoying a small salad now and then.

Perhaps there are benefits to not tossing the fiber (as you would if you were juicing).  I put iceberg, peeled cukes and a few radishes.

My dressing is so good and it has some of the good thing of the vinegar drink.  I use the creamer from my tea set (because it pours well), and I put in a healthy spoonful of honey, 3 good glugs of raw apple cider vinegar, a small amount of olive oil, sea salt, pepper, a little raw garlic (not a lot), a pinch of cumin.  I little oregano too maybe.  Stir it well.

I suppose you could even put this in the blender, LOL.

Those recipes sound great. I will look up the vinegar drink and give it a try. I've read some people say vinegar kills yeast but other have reported mold or fungus sometimes showing up in their vinegar bottles. I think it is a fungus killer though based on the feel! Could be the fat with the milk as you say. Guess I will have to give it a try.

Apple cider vinegar is a good sometimes-food to me, and that seems to be what others here say too.  I'd go by what your tastes tell you.  I can totally see how mold and fungus can be in there.  I've made it before!  It could have small amounts in there and yet be a fungus killer too, IMO.
