Interesting.     I wonder if my gut bacteria is philosophical about Cholestatis.   :).

I looked online and it didn't seem like everyone agrees that sauna triggers bile, perhaps you are proving it does with your protocol, Alex.

I have particular problems with heat, and anyone here like me should proceed carefully with the sauna idea.   I think my sweat glands are damaged.     I took an unexpected nap on the cool cellar floor one day, which was much preferable to passing out and cooking in the sauna...

I've read that lacto bacillus can turn on people sometimes, there was a "chubby emu" video about someone who ended up with a lacto-bacillus heart infection.   However, on the other hand, I saw yogurt help fix my son's gut after antibiotics.

For what it's worth, I spent a couple of years gulping down kefir at a frightening pace...

So, do we dump the idea of fermented foods and probiotics and maybe even raw milk?   Is it wapf...wrong again?

“The next step is to engineer a human-friendly probiotic strain that will be capable of producing high levels of beta-carotene,” Quadro says. ”If scientists could build such a beta-carotene producing machine to reside in a person’s gut, we could overcome the need to constantly ingest foods or supplements containing vitamin A. These beta-carotene-producing probiotics could reside in a person’s intestine for a prolonged period of time, even months.”

I could find plenty more but I think this makes the point that this has been a major goal of ... theirs ... for years and years. Take probiotics at own risk. Labels are worth what they're printed on + faith, just like fiat currency.

You know how I always go back to my grandmother's diet?    When she was still alive her doc and I told her to try probiotics for her gut health and she told me that they made her feel awful.   Of course other people have said these words but they were told it was a herx reaction, right?
