Basal Cell Carcinoma

I'm starting to get issues with BCCs and whilst I have seen a fair amount of sun damage, I feel I am a bit young to be getting so many. I am now wondering if accutane / VA toxicity is to blame. Anyone else suffering from these?

Anecdotally I can tell you that topical retinoids will cause sun damage. (It doesn't matter how much sunscreen you slather, because you're not a lab mouse and you can't possibly protect yourself with the same reliability.) All retinoids are photosensitizing, and vitamin A in sunscreens was already implicated in skin cancer:

Many people notice sudden and drastic onset of sun damage from retinoid use. Yes, dermatologists will tell you that it should do the opposite - assuming you can apply sunscreen with the same diligence and precision they do on lab mice (nobody can). Of course when people like this woman post empirical proof, retinoid fanatics screech that "UV damage tests aren't credible anyway", despite the fact that they're the exact same ones dermatologists use to sell the benefits of retinoids:

If creams can do this, there is a absolutely no reason why systemic retinoid therapy wouldn't cause skin cancer.
