@tim-2

So am I right that normal almond milk does not contain vitamin A despite the nutritional information or these rely on American almond milk types that have added it synthetically? I was really surprised that almond does not contain vitamin A, but the milk variant does

Almond milk doesn't have vA unless it's added. There aren't enough carotenoids in any grain, legume or nut for them to be a concern.

That sounds like a really neat product that Tim is getting.  I suppose it could be made at home.

It's an amazing product. It tastes great.

@marlene  this is by no means a complete list, but might be helpful, you can use most online food energy calculators as well, most will show VA content, but some can be misleading or mistaken of quantities.

high oleic safflower or sunflower oil, coconut oil, olive oil
rice, white potato, beans(black, lima, black -eyed...), oatmeal, white corn, whole grain bread/pasta,

@orion

I can't find any specific nutritional information for Egg white. Do you have a source? Is it really total vitamin A free and could be eaten daily?!

@joel I have never found any either, other then chronometer.com or the info on the egg white packaging.  I assume there could be traces from egg yolks that make into the egg whites where ever the packaging is done.  I have been using small amounts daily, maybe I should drop it for awhile, see how I feel.

@jiri  you think egg whites are VA free, good for daily use?

Do you know if the protein content varies, whether I prepare it as a fried egg or hard-boiled?

I found this now:

https://www.nutritionix.com/food/egg-white

@orion cooked egg whites are good source of protein..
