Bluish colour under eyes
Quote from Audrey on February 6, 2023, 8:59 amWhenever I eat a bit of iceberg lettuce I get slightly bluish under my eyes, it goes away if I don't eat lettuce. Recently I've tried adding a few daily blueberries and this bluish/purpilish colour returns even worse under my eyes. This time it isn't really going away even though I've stopped eating blueberries last week. Could this be from vitamin K moving the blood around? Detox? It doesn't look positive to me.

Quote from Audrey on February 6, 2023, 9:01 amI'm also melting down more and more these days, feeling rage, something that had mostly disappeared this last year. I don't feel like I am detoxing too hard, but who knows.

Quote from Andrew B on February 7, 2023, 7:58 am@audrey Blueberries contain chlorogenic acid similar to coffee which could stimulate bile amongst other things. If it doesnt happen with coffee then perhaps not.

Quote from Audrey on February 7, 2023, 10:50 amHi @andrew-b, it happens with coffee, even decaf coffee. That's the main reason I only drink decaf on occasion. Thanks for your reply. I was thinking it could be vitamin K

Quote from Jenny on February 7, 2023, 10:51 amDark circles under eyes represent food intolerances, from what I’ve read, but not sure if this includes bluish colour. Iceberg lettuce isn’t well known for causing intolerances anyway as far as I know. But any one can be intolerant to anything I guess. I hope you can find out the issue.

Quote from Margo on February 7, 2023, 11:28 amDark circles are one of my sensitive indicators to VA/carotenoids in my system. All forms make them worse. They are still there even when all other symptoms are not, so I expect them to be one of the last symptoms to go away, if they ever do, and/or for them to have an additional cause other than VA. Mine first showed up at 21 after doing a stint on Paleo. Unfortunately I don’t have a solution other than VA avoidance and patience but would be interested to hear if you find one.
