charcoal poultice

Has anyone used charcoal topically? And if so, what has your experience been? My right arm and hand has gradually turned yellow when it is resting, (still no hair) which is scaring me a bit. I'm sure it's why I have this awful joint pain and swelling in my thumb too. The positive thing is is that I am pooping well formed stools, twice a day. My arm aches and I feel something flowing inside, I feel like whatever it is it is flowing to my bowls (sorry for all this info :/). Or would taking charcoal internally be the better way to go and not topically? I don't enjoy binders so much on this diet rn especially since I am pooping well already and I don't want to speed things up more. Wondering if I should stop eggs for a week and see if I see improvement with my arm? I am massaging my arm and I can feel this stirs things up.

Does my arm indicate cholestasis?

@audrey I know a friend reduced his bilirubin score (guide to jaundice) considerably by eating 3 eggs a day so I dont think eating eggs would make jaundice worse. The colour could be there though. We know serum retinol goes up after eggs so perhaps a redistribution of Vitamin A from the liver. Feeling better is the primary guide I use. I think the activated charcoal topically wasnt worth it for me. Unless any other symptom of strong detox is causing problems then I'd keep with the eggs unless yellow worsens.

Thanks @andrew-b. How long has your friend being eating 3 eggs a day?

@audrey It only took a month to reduce the bilirubin considerably and it's continued. I think it's about 3 months now. Still a bit yellow though.
