My problem is that I have a hard time concentrating. Have any of you guys seen any improvement in concentration while on a VA depletion diet. How long did it take, what is your story.

I just trialed A again after 9 months on a depletion diet and I’m feeling like I’m back to square one at the moment unfortunately. Hopefully it doesn’t take months again to recover my mental faculties.

Why did you trial A, and how did you do it?
I noticed focussing being easier to do after 2 months. I suspect that the improvement will be ongoing.

It was all in the spirit of experimenting. I felt I should test A because I’m the type of person who likes to make sure I’m not deluding myself and I was suspecting my immune system was a bit low. My total cholesterol has also gone down 110 points and I thought if I could tolerate small amounts of animal A I might be able to keep my cholesterol from getting any lower. 🙂 I didn’t feel good in the past when it was below 130.
I stayed around 25% of my RDI on average most days for 2 weeks having 1-2 tbsp of chicken liver or goat cheese/kefir. It took two weeks for it to build up in my system enough to cause obvious problems. Lesson learned!

Big improvements. Not from one day to another but gradually from the start.
Before I started low a diet I first thought I was allergic to milk, so I excluded all traces of milk from my diet, but since I had read grants books by then i also excluded most colorful veggies, egg yolk and liver. Especially my daily work-carrots (about 1 lb a day) which I had eaten for a year. I felt good, but didnt realise how good until I added them back..
After a couple months, I added work-carrots back in (free snack after all) and it took only a few weeks before I noticed memory issues returning and unable to focus. When i added back caseine as well shit broke loose and I turned into a stress-sensitive, itching, crying PMS monster with anxiety and eczema.
Lesson learned.
