Declining incidence rate of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Can anyone explain the trend in this study?

Apparently over the past decades, epidemiological studies have shown that incidence rates of rheumatoid arthritis have been decreasing.

Any thoughts/theories?

Overall, it's what I wouldn't expect the results to be. I'd say most degenerative diseases are on the rise. So why not arthritis?

How about the toxic milieu has changed so that different diseases are now happening.
