Detoxing glyphosate
Quote from Guest on December 20, 2018, 11:21 amI would like to start a discussion on glyphosate, mostly on how to detox it. Dr. Stephanie Seneff mentions NAC and alpha lipoic acid as ways to support glutathione synthesis and maybe glycine also as beneficial for detox. Foods containing sulfur (she mentions garlic) are important too but can cause problems if the liver isn't processing it (or at least something along those lines). As a potential work around she mention epsom salt baths. Anyone have any opinions on this? I am mostly interested in NAC and ALA but any experience or deeper understanding of all this would be great. Interview here with Dr. Seneff https://myersdetox.com/166-glyphosate-herbicide-and-how-to-detox-it-with-dr-stephanie-seneff/

Quote from Liz on December 20, 2018, 11:20 pmI have been taking NAC on and off for a couple of years. Not for glyfosate but for endometriosis. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3662115/
Honestly cant tell if it has done good or not but last time I felt pain aproaching i took NAC (and prayed) and it subsided. Uaually that would have sent me into a 3-5 day pain hell. So I keep taking it. If it is helping with glyfosate as well, that is another reason to keep taking it then.
Would be interesting to find out more about NAC - glyfosate connection though.

Quote from hillcountry on March 3, 2019, 9:03 amHi Guest, was re-reading stuff and ran across your thread. Just started Epsom salt bathing per Seneff's recommendation on the need for sulfate. Hope to report something notable back. I'm reading a lot about Cholesterol Sulfate but it's complicated by the fact that some research has linked it to bad things as well as good; but I figure if it was good for our grandparents, it's probably good for us too. Have you gone through all of Seneff's papers on her website? I'm trying to confirm her thing about LDL pooling and waiting for the CS taxi-ride into the cells. The best confirmation would be to track personal LDL levels going down and correlating that number with the frequency of Epsom salt baths, given no other changes in diet or other activities.

No, I haven't had a chance to read much sadly, so I haven't implemented any of her recommendations other than eating as much organic as I can afford. I know G. Smith has followed much of her work and heard through the grapevine that he recommends zeolite (I think you were on that thread too) but haven't heard much else on what he tells his clients to do to detox glyphosate.
@liz, I missed your comment about NAC. That is good to know and maybe I'll try it again. I have taken it in the past and at least don't remember any bad reactions to it.

Quote from Liz on March 3, 2019, 10:04 pmThe downside with not having one's own lab when testing new substances is that it can be hard to know if they have an effect or not... I always wanted to have my own lab 🙂 There is plenty pf studies regarding NAC being good for many things though. I have also added glycine to my stack as glyfosate can mimic glycine. Keep us posted if you try NAC and what your experiences are 🙂
