Do we need to avoid vit A for all life?
Quote from Наиль on August 22, 2019, 8:42 amThere are lots of people who's experiencing bad side effects after consuming food with vitamin A, but they were on the low diet for more than a year. Seems strange because in the theory the liver should remove the huge amount of it after such a long time.
Why is it so? Maybe our body needs to get used to this food and we need to eat Vitamin A's food little by little?

Quote from empirebuilder31 on August 22, 2019, 8:56 amApparently, the liver can store around 2 years of vitamin A. That's not including body fat and other tissue/organs in the body. My guess, if someone is very toxic, the could have 3+ years of vitamin A in their body.
Also, if their detox systems are impaired in any way (not eating organic, not enough protein/zinc, etc.) I imagine the detox will take even longer.
Once we heal our livers and clean out most of the vitamin A in there, I don't think small amounts of vitamin A will be a problem. However, considering that it is a toxin, the less of it we consume, the better!

Yes. Vit A is only a problem when we have too much for our body to safely store and / or our detox pathways are compromised so that we can't eliminate it properly.
That is my personal belief based on what Grant has theorised. I guess in time we will see for sure once more people have successfully detoxed and are able to share their post detox experiences.
I am hopeful that I will be able to eat a much wider range of foods including those with moderate to high vit A content in the future. I will however be careful not to eat large amounts of high vit A foods on a regular basis since I don't want to re-toxify myself.

Quote from tar on August 24, 2019, 8:08 amThe brain benefits are so good, and when I do get some A I start to get a little foggy...so I can't imagine going back on VA foods anytime soon. Although Grant said he is pretty sure he could reintroduce VA back into his diet without problem, but he is sticking with low VA for science. For Science!
