Does Zinc reduce toxicity of circulating Retinol?

Zinc is needed to produce Retinol Binding Protein which makes the circulating retinol less toxic (or at least that’s Grant Genereux’s theory).
But zinc also supports ADH, alcohol dehydrogenase. ADH makes toxic aldehydes out of alcohols (such as retinol).
So by supplementing with zinc you could be adding to your toxic aldehyde burden.
Zinc is a great supplement and a very important mineral supporting hundred of enzymes. But some people have paradoxical reactions to it and can get much sicker when supplementing with it.
