Dry Eye in China?

I was just reading today that Dry Eye in China is becoming an epidemic. 194M people with the disease.

Grant uses dry eye as an example of vitamin A toxicity throughout the second book.  However, it seems that autoimmune disease rates in China are very low (based on the figures in Grant’s books) and their diet differs greatly  than that of the Western industrialized world (much less A).  Curious how this can be explained??

Interesting.  I've been thinking about how Weston Price never did really study a rice-eating culture's diet.   I think it would have lowered the "average" or given him an idea that not everyone in the world had a high A diet.

I wonder if it is more A causing the problem, or perhaps more roundup.
