DWL's Progress

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Updat:  12/26/20

Symptoms:

Chronic pain:   Various pains have come and gone with occasional flares-ups occurring periodically.  I’ve been pain free for several months now.

Skin status:

Skin remains mostly smooth.  One psoriasis patch remains, but has improved.  Forearms are much smoother, but sun spots remain.

Eyes:

I awaken each morning to moist eyes. Sometimes tears flow upon awakening.  This is a big change.   I’ve never been plagued with extremely dry eyes, but they are markedly more moist since going low A.   My scleras  remain very white and clear with no visible  capillaries.   Irises remain bright with no visible debris.

Misc.:

Digestion continues to improve.  Slight constipation remains,  but is improved when I adhere   to a strict,  low A diet with plenty of fiber (pinto beans, black eyed peas).

Sleep is deep; a 5-6 hour rest is usually sufficient.    I now  awaken with a clear head, am focused, and usually begin working at a strong pace throughout the day.  My lack of fatigue continues to amaze me!!

In addition to the diet, I continue sleeping on an inclined bed.  My bed is now raised seven inches at its head.  Since my eye condition is a neurodegenerative disorder, I’m following Andrew Fletcher’s incline suggestion for brain related disorders.

My tinnitus remains;  I have noticed occasional silence, but this is rare.

Body weight:

Before low A i weighted 101 lbs.;  several months  later I had gained to 122 lbs.   I’m now stable at 109 lbs. which seems a good/normal weight for me.

Memory remains good and I’m seldom depressed even amidst the hugely stressful times.

Arena, if I’ve not covered one of my symptoms  of interest to you, plead feel free to ask about it specifically   Thanks for the Christmas good greetings.  It was an especially blessed time with family;  our  seventeen  month old grandson  added was quite the entertainer!!

All the best,

DSWL

As I understand it Inclined Bed Therapy is the tilting of the entire body, head to foot.  I

did it for  several months not noticing  benefits, then  in rearranging my bedroom furniture, I failed to set the bed to an incline;  within a few days I realized that the incline had been beneficial.   Up went the head of my bed!

Eyes:  yes, the improvement in the outer appearance of my eyes is quite remarkable!   Yet, my vision remains very poor.  Hopefully, my retinas will improve with limited retinoic acid.  Years ago scientists said the eyes had no lymph system.  We now know that this was false.  I t appears that retinas cannot regenerate;  maybe this is true, maybe not.

All the best,

DSWL
