eczema ... thoughts

PreviousPage 3 of 3

There is a mountain of reports of people using hot water on eczema and urushiol rashes for relief. Some are using hair dryers.
I think we're all agreed that it's wise to wash off the fat soluble toxin with soap, then moisturize, after heat-treating.
Mainstream medicine explains the relief as being the result of the release of histamines.
I found one poster on a forum that seems to know the general truth of the matter without being aware of Grant's books:

I read somewhere that hot water draws out from deep within. Well, we do want to draw out whatever the largest filtering organ of our body wants to get rid of. Make sense? [...] At home I apply some Bentonite clay powder to absorb the weeping and this also feels cooling and relieves itching immediately. Bentonite clay draws toxins to itself and locks them in [...] As for the people who say that they get worse after using hot water, well, here's a simple answer why. It's not that things are getting worse, it's just that more of the irritants are drawn to the surface [...] making it SEEM as though you are getting worse. [...] The skin is the largest organ we have to help protect us from outward irritants as well as filtering out irritants that come from within. Anyone up in age as I am (57), I would definitely advise to look at their lifestyle and eating habits. It takes many years for us to wreak havoc on our bodies, and the problems we have now are no doubt our body finally saying ENUFF!!!
