Enamel and Vitamin A

Hi. @ggenereux2014

I recently watched a garreth smith. video and he mentioned that you have gotten your enamel back . Since I got Vitamin A. toxic , I have been having consistent stains on my teeth despite often getting them scaled ( cleaned using a machine) . Recently my dentist told me some of my teeth have lost enamel .

Could you please let us know your recovery ?

Retinoic Acid Excess Impairs Amelogenesis Inducing Enamel Defects

Hi @r-2,

Yeah, about 15 years ago my dentist had told me that I had lost the enamel on most of my teeth. He told me that it was caused by brushing too aggressively.

But, as I’ve mentioned before in my updates, my teeth are now feeling significantly stronger, smoother and just generally cleaner. The enamel has definitely started to be restored. I don’t know to what percentage restored it is, but it’s most certainly not 100%. My teeth are also whiter now too. But, I’ve also stopped drinking coffee, so that’s probably contributing to their whiter appearance.

Me too! 😩 I heard this on several occasions from a dentist that my teeth have lost a lot of enamel. Too aggressive brushing or something else?

Surprisingly, I haven't had any cavities yet, and I hope it stays this way. Nevertheless, my teeth don't look really nice, still have a yellow tint, plaque builds up regularly. At least once a year I need to go to the dentist to remove it. Also, food usually sticks to my teeth after I eat something.
