Enzymes -Wobenzym

A couple of years ago we did about 10 months of enzymatic therapy using Wobenzym -N. With good results.

We stopped when we started the no vA diet thinking that maybe, since these were made from liver, we could possibly ingest some vA together with the enzymes.

At present detox is still going on, 13 months after we started, and quite unpleasant.

I wonder if someone could comment on the contents of this Wobenzym, whether it sounds beneficial and would be likely to contain retinoids.

I’m not sure @ourania. I suppose it depends how purified it is. Do you take for digestive support? Sorry to hear that you are having a tough time. Are you doing soluble fibre or other binders? I’ve found going to x6 small portions of beans or psyllium a day quite helpful. I’m trying to support all the routes of elimination without overdoing it & agitating too much vA to exit liver/body fat. A balance I’m not always getting right. 

Could you instead eat enzyme foods that you make at home, out of foods that you are currently ok with, such as home-made vinegar from peeled apple (never tried this, just blue skying, but have made vinegar the usual way), kraut (this tends to physic me lol), pineapple, unpasturized beer, kefir soda, raw semi-hard cider,  kombucha... "small beer" used to be a thing.   I suppose even a squeeze of lemon has enzymes.

I've fermented loads of things, it's fun.  You might want to visit a brewing store and get a cheap little air lock that you can put on canning jars.

Like JAJ I also have just accepted the detox and try to keep it to a dull roar, and I'm about month 19 or 20.   IMO kraut isn't "dull roar" territory for me, at least.

I have a real urge now and then for raw things like a not-so-green salad (with home made dressing with raw vinegar) and slices of apple.   And PICKLES!   I drink a little wine also, and I think that fills some sort of need for acid or ?.  I think it is best to drink wine away from bed time, at say, 4:00 PM, for a better sleep.

@jaj Thank you for your concern. I have no digestive problems, just trying to soften the detox symptoms. I suppose helping the liver to dump more vA products is not a good idea. Brain fog due to dumping!

For binders I take a couple of Tsp of beans or lentils a couple of times a day, some days some activated charcoal. I also have some modified pectin I could use but I wonder if pectin is advised or not?

 

@lil-chick my urge for raw = pickled onions in vinegar!!! Sometimes a couple of gherkins.

I think because of the cold I am detoxing more. I do not feel cold though, I just feel the pains of detox. Arghh! 13 months under our belt.
