I don't know what I would do without my magnifying mirror, damp Q-tips and bright light.   For me, the eyes don't clean themselves well, and gently sweeping debris out makes them so very much more comfortable.    I used to have to do this 3 times a day, but now I only get that feeling of something in the eye about once per day.   Perhaps this maintenance can tide you over instead of drugs.
