Fascinating and Disturbing Research on B1 deficiencies throughout the food chain

Hi All,

Due to Baby Life I have not been chiming in as much I'd like on here, but this article feels too important to ignore:

https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2021/02/08/deficiency-of-thiamine-vitamin-b1.aspx

I am very curious to hear what others think - I personally have found great improvements for most (but not all) of my family members over the past year when we've been both supplementing B1 and including lots of beans in our diet. Garret Smith and @Grant Genereux have both, I believe, made the case for the importance of not depleting the body of B1 during A detox, and from this new research it seems like a case could be made that ecological breakdown may be driving vitamin A toxicity as well...

The use of chlorine in water treatment could also be a contributing factor. Chlorine destroys thiamine.

I read through all the comments and my fave theory is the ag chemical one.

Hi Arena, sorry the link didn't work, and glad you found it! What I meant by my glib shorthand of "ecological breakdown" is...the degradation of our land and water and air and the ecosystems that depend on same, due to our (human) "modern" "farming" practices and resource-depleting consumption patterns. And of course, the resulting breakdown in human health when dining on a food supply brought to us by the Giant Corporate Depleters! 🙂

Just trying to find something to smile about on this Wednesday morning, so I'll stop commeting on this depressing thread... 🙂  And I'll end with some large doses of gratitude that I found this VItamin A theory when I did.

xoxoxo
