Interesting @ourania, my father is daltonic as well but I think I wouldn't be able to convice him to go on this diet hehe I am an accutane sufferer and I am pretty sure if I knew about this diet before accutane, my diet would have cleared for sure, my skin is getting better and better, I have no acne but I can see it's smooth and more moist now, it used to be very dry after taking accutane, so almost 2 years on the diet  , I can see it has benefited my skin a lot as well.

I am on it for the mental side effects I've got from taking accutane. This diet is helping me a lot, I'm very hopeful and happy altough I feel bad and very anxious some days. I was wondering if there is something else I could do to avoid the bad detox effects or to speed up recovery, like taking a supplement .

My diet consists of :

Brown rice

beans

onions and potatoes

brazil nuts

beef ( very low fat )

lemon ( half a lemon twice a week )

Yesterday I was feeling better , mood was better and less anxiety. I woke up today very anxious and feeling kinda hopeless and weak, sometimes I have problems breathing , I think it's due to the anxiety . It used to be much worse .

@sergio eating low fat diet like this for long time can mess up your digestion and also inhibit proper detoxification, because there will be low bile production and flow.. Liver->bile->stool is the most important way of detox for the body...

@sergio don’t overdo the Brazil nuts as they are very high in selenium. I think 2 or 3 a day are enough to cover your selenium needs (may need a few more in detox as selenium gets used up). A nutritional therapist once told me the story of someone eating a packet at a time giving themselves selenium poisoning. Selenium is one of those essential nutrients that you want enough but not too much I believe.
