Fruit vs Starch
Quote from leap7 on March 25, 2020, 2:15 amIs there a limit to the amount of low va fruit one should eat to see progress? Is it better to eat more starch than fruit, or vice versa?
I’ve read that eating fructose can inhibit detox pathways. Would someone mind telling me more about this?
I come from a Ray Peat inspired diet where I tried to minimize my starch consumption, so favoring starches over fruit is like a new paradigm for me. Would really appreciate any insight.

Quote from Jiří on March 25, 2020, 3:30 amFruit is good source of minerals and vitamins like vit C, potassium etc.. BUT starch is much better for muscle glycogen and fructose really isn't liver friendly. Especially if you have some toxicity in the liver. I would eat starches like rice for calories, energy and some fruit for vit C, potassium and simply for tasty snack.. But drinking 2L of orange juice and other crazy stuff is not smart. You can end up with fatty liver with this amount of fructose.
