Higher resistane to flu and cold

Hello good people,

have you noticed any difference to how often you get the flu or a regular cold since going low/no vit A?

In the 7 months since going very low A, I have been much more immune to common viruses or bacteria.

Hard to say, my immune system was very good prior to low vit A diet and I never had any colds or flu before, really. But i have had a lot of cold-like symtoms as detox though..

Your immune system imoroving is really good though 🙂 especially since it is "commonly believed" vit A being good for the immune system 😂

No, I seem to have colds every other week, and my health gets better after each one. Detox.

In the past, I maybe got a cold once or twice per year. They usually lasted for 7-10 days. Now it's been all over the place. After following low A for about 2-3 months, I seem to get milder versions of the symptoms, but not a full blown cold. It's totally unpredictable. I get runny nose for two days and then the third day is like nothing happened. After another two days, runny nose comes back and maybe a bit of soreness in my throat, then the next day I feel normal again. After that, it's 5 days without anything at all and next day I'm coughing with that damn runny nose AGAIN.

It's been like this for about 3 weeks now. If it weren't for improvements of my eczema on my neck and overall skin dryness, I would probably think I'm doing something wrong. I think this is the detox everyone is talking about.

Yes DryLurker that was simliar for me. Yes it sounds like detox. I even went through a couple of weeks of a very raspy throat and then nothing. This seemed to be especially in the first 3 months. I also went through a phase of dry eyes, nose, face etc at night time. Now at nearly 6 months we are going through sniffles again but not so intensely as early on.

I spent a weekend with my very sick friend, who became sick the day after we met. Fever, sore throat and such. We shared food and drink from the same glass. The day after he went home, I woke up feeling funky with a weird throaty feeling, which I recognozed as the pre-sumtoms of flu. I took teaspoon of pure ascorbic acid and after an hour I was fine, worked out and went about my day. Kept on taking C and zinc that day and I never broke out.

Years ago, I would have gotten sick once I got the symtoms despite vit C. Maybe my immune systems has improved after all...

I may have had a similar experience.  I tried introducing potato chips ( ingredients: potatoes, olive oil, salt) into my diet.

It took me a while to see the connection because there was usually about a 12-24 hour lag time in a response.  The reaction I had was a really running nose, usually in the morning after. It did not cause my skin worsen or anything else.

After I stopped eating the potato chips the runny nose never reoccurred. I’ve not tried other brands.Â
