How can I do the low vitamin A diet?
Quote from Yuri on September 15, 2021, 12:00 pmI took Accutane, had hair loss(i think i recovered from it) and recently, 3 years later, i got erosive esophagitis grade A. I finished "Extinguishing the fires of hell", and I want to try the diet. How can i do it and how many time can i do it? Im from Brazil.

Quote from Даниил on September 16, 2021, 7:42 amHi, Yuri. Your name reminded me of a Russian one, and at first I thought that you (too) from Russia. Ha-ha.
It depends on how low the vitamin A level you want to observe. The classic version that Grant adheres to is a diet of lean Beef, rice and black (white) beans. Oats, white potatoes, egg whites are also low. Non-grass-fed meat contains little vitamin A. From fruits, it is best to eat apples and pears without peel, strawberries, raisins, lemons, bananas, kiwi. But it's probably best not to eat at all, because you will still get some vitamin A in the form of carotenoids. From vegetables, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers without peel, onion, garlic, parsnip (root). I think the carotenoids in beets are destroyed after cooking. All nuts except pistachios, I think, contain little vitamin A. All refined oils contain little vitamin A. Black, green tea and coffee contain little vitamin A. All the grass contains a lot of vitamin A. Dairy, egg yolks and offal contain a lot of vitamin A.
It is better to buy organic cereals and beans, since Glyphosate increases the toxicity of VA. Although I don't have such an opportunity. This is all very briefly. In general, I think that the simpler the diet, the better.

Many of the people on this forum are trying to heal from their Vitamin A poisoning by eating low vitamin A foods. As you have observed, there are people who are suffering new (or more frequent or more severe) symptoms since starting the diet. However, if you are interested in working with a naturopathic doctor, I would recommend Dr. Garrett Smith. He read Grant Genereux's books and is dedicated to helping people through the process of lowering their vitamin A. Because this process is part of healing the liver, his program is called Love Your Liver. He has a forum (paid access) full of encouraging people who are also on this detox journey. You can check out his website here -- https://nutritiondetective.com/
Also, on YouTube Dr. Smith hosts a one-hour question and answer session. The time is 8-9 AM Mountain Standard Time. These are recorded and posted on YouTube. Here is what you should type into the search bar -- Love Your Liver Weekly Q&A
I hope these resources may be helpful to you. It is definitely worth it to go on the healing journey!

Quote from Yuri on September 16, 2021, 12:08 pm@daniil Thanks. I like this name, but it make me the last in calls(don't know the correct word here, like when they call your name in schooll and you have to say "present").
@kathy55wood That's strange, reading some progress vlogs, some of them improved from some conditions while got autoimune flare ups and worsened in others conditions, even after years.
Im already sick, i have jaudince, feel like there's a mote in my two eyes and sometimes a cold liquid in them. There's indeed a connection between vitamin A and autoimune diseases, and i'll do a video about Grant's books and theory in portuguese to raise awareness about Accutane.
