how to remove vitamin A toxins from body fast to get healing soon??

Page 1 of 2Next

I am on vit A low diet for 4 days i believe with genenreux theory after reading his book i too done my research about foods his logic connects all my missing pieces on mystery of healing.

Any methods are there to speed up healing by removing vit A toxins?

Off the top of my head

  • Adequate protein to make RBP, at least 0.7g/lb body weight
  • Taurine, so, meat, particularly beef steaks, make sure not to lose the juices
  • Soluble fibre, ie beans and whole grains mainly, which helps the excretion of VA bound to bile
  • Moderate alcohol consumption, 1-2 drinks/day, helps mobilise liver VA
  • Keeping metabolic rate high by eating sufficient calories
  • Exercise
  • Sunlight
  • Blood donations

More controversially, it seems any kind of physical trauma like infections, bug bites, bruises and injuries consumes VA, if you wanna go wild with that.

Hello @turiya

I'm about 2 months in and realizing that time does fly faster than you ever expect.  I sort of think patience and time and realistic expectations are your best friends in this process!  You know, the body likes to make changes slowly...

I really do think we need an entertainment thread on which to pass time haha  🙂

Great summary,  adding to the controversial stuff, getting measles would be another great way to quickly deplete VA.

Cleanliness is next to godliness?  Spa life?

I try to work up a good sweat a few times a week.  And then straight into a shower.

I've been showering about double the amount of my typical and using  more soap... especially in places that are itchy or have rashes.  Always very gently.

I've been trying hard to get the sebum off of my scalp and from behind my ears (I've got hard water so this is challenging)

Some have been doing gentle skin brushing, you can do this while towelling off (toward heart)

I've been avoiding makeup and any sort of extra things that might be applied to the skin (never did use sun tan lotion, but that seems like a common place to find A)

I've been oil pulling a few times a week to clean the mouth

I've been changing my sheets often because of night sweats, and also washing my jammies/clothing at an increased rate

Olive oil based liver flushes. Releases enormous amounts of bile bound retinol from the liver, rapidly flushed out of the body with magnesium sulfate (a natural laxative). And thanks to the rapid speed of transit from the magnesium and water, there is not enough time for much of the bile to be reabsorbed by the intestines, which breaks the enterohepatic circulation cycle, and allows for rapid and effective vitamin A detoxification. In other words, you shit it out.

In my opinion and experience, iI think its probably much more effective and easier than a restrictive diet, and also allows you to not even worry about restricting healthy foods that contain vitamin A (like eggs) from your diet because you will be detoxifying it much faster than ingesting it. Hopefully other people here try it. So far, I think Im the only one.

Ive done around 8 liver flushes and not once noticed any considerable improvements afterwards.

Not saying it might not help, just that for a few years this was popular on the big Accutane thread at acne.org and I never remember seeing a consensus stating it was making improvements.

Yeah no wonder, seems like the symptoms of Measles pretty much resemble a massive VA flush, too bad its so lethal in adults. I'm seriously considering whether doing some activity where your body takes more of a beating, like contact sports, would be more beneficial to reverse/prevent VA toxicity than just gentle aerobics.

Hi Turiya,

Just a note of caution.  If you do too many things to help speed the process you are in danger of mobilising more VA than your body can get rid of.  This may exacerbate your symptoms and make you feel pretty crap.
This is most likely to be the case when first starting as your body is most toxic then.  Once you have lowered your levels a bit you will likely find you can do more to speed things up without causing problems.
