Hygiene hypothesis
Quote from somuch4food on January 13, 2019, 11:45 amI know Grant mentions that the Hygiene Hypothesis could be one of the factors of our current epidemic in his Extinguishing the fires of hell ebook.
I have some anecdotal evidences to share on that.
My toddler has symptoms of A toxicity: runny nose, red cheeks, eczema, egg allergy, mild diarrhea, sleep troubles and tantrums (which everyone accepts as normal 'terrible twos', but I'm sure vit A as something to do with it).
Yesterday, he got vaccinated for the flu and he was the most happy I've seen him in months. I think it's due to retinol being used up to fight the infection given by the flu shot.
That reminded me how his sleep really improved after starting the daycare and getting an infection from the contact with other babies. It continued to go really well for a while and then it started degrading again, probably after the retinol got saturated from his diet again.
