improved vision, better sleep

47yr old male, on keto and carnivore and always thought that there was something missing... was wondering about blurred vision, listened to grant's interview on NwJ and cut out vitA 2 weeks ago:

  • vision improved from 40-50/20 to 25-30/20 - objectively measured with app... very confident that there's a definite  improvement.
  • sleep: huge improvement... even if I wake up I go straight back to sleep
  • hair getting thicker
  • feeling better in the sun

Cons: I run a 5k several times a week and it looks like endurance/speed did not increase or I just "care" less

Working on:

  • blood pressure: still very high but it appears eating carbs (similar to grant) doesn't affect it as much as before

I am surprised more people haven't caught onto this yet... I see "vitA" as just an other plant defense mechanism similar to oxalate and lectins with a lot more long term damage.

kids don't like anything with vitA in it.

Yep, carotenoids seem to be a part of plant passive immunity against pathogens, but we(humans) have an active immunity and every [plant] antibiotic could potentially bring more harm than good(via wide immune suppression effect), not to mention cytotoxicity...
