IS VITAMIN A TOXIC DURING PREGNANCY?

IS VITAMIN A TOXIC DURING PREGNANCY?

Hmmm just proves you shouldn't believe everything you read!

Having studied nutrition for 3 years the vitamin A toxicity theory throws a lot of it up in the air. If you are young & healthy with an empty liver then I'm sure a sweet potato & butternut squash soup is a delicious maybe microbiome enhancing choice. However if your liver storage is full it could be a inflammation inducing disaster. It's all about the individual & the vitamin A stuff just adds a whole new layer.

My child was born with an allergy and still struggles with eczema at 16 months of age.

Since reading the first book, I am making a connection with my own vitamin A toxicity and my child's problems since his birth. I have started lowering vitamin A to see if it helps, but it's too early for conclusive results.

From my personal experience, vitamin A could certainly be toxic during pregnancy.

Accutane is a form of vitamin A that has been made very clear to cause health problem especially when pregnant. Personally, I'll never take another prenatal vitamin that has A in it.

Dr Garret Smith shared this today as well.
