No problem, I talk about my buttcrack a lot! My rash resembles psoriasis the most. It has gone through periods of being very inflamed, itching with pain on itching, but on the bean protocol the redness isn't even there at times just a bit of thickened skin and flaking. I have figured out the itching is controlled by keeping the flaking and inflammation away, moisturizers seem helpful but I am not having to use them everyday. I have tried all anti-fungal treatments except oral drugs, basically if I've read about it I've tried it! Recently I was putting talcum powder with camphor and boric acid which was meant for athletes foot on it. I didn't notice much. I also tried the hypochlorous acid, bleach, and hydrogen peroxide. I do think I may have had an infection in it at times and if there was anything there it doesn't appear to be anymore, but the skin is still abnormal. I'm hoping on low vitamin A and the bean protocol eventually it will heal. I used to have a spot on my eyelid as well.

I think if it's toxic vitamin a related then the only way to get rid of it is through a low vitamin a diet, but also through soluble fiber and getting enough red meat. If it's ringworm, then you'll notice healing from antifungals. But I think the bad skin barrier function is from toxicity or deficiencies.

You know what is interesting to me is that they try to pin this stuff on diabetes, but babies and little kids get it.

Yes they do! My sister's first child had eczema since she was a baby. It finally got better the more they used petroleum based skin protectant which she was against being she only uses organic and natural. But I think it's also because she was 'growing' out of it, liver getting bigger and things like that. Her 2nd child doesn't have it. My children only got small patches of eczema in the winter and it was manageable. I noticed dairy would inflame it when I would eat it and it would come through my breastmilk.

Update:

I have been super kind to myself lately after the death of my friend. I even had a little bit of chocolate syrup in my ice cream. I generally have avoided chocolate in the last 7 months. But even despite all the stress I had, the rough nights, and starting to do walking, this cycle went great, only one day of PMS and slight headache and went 28 days. Just started today.

I quit the antihistamine as soon as I could because it was slowing my digestion down a lot. I was so surprised how much it effected my digestion. Definitely not sustainable. I wasn't even taking very much. Maybe 7 mg doxylamine. A full tablet is 25 mg. I'm back to having bad allergies to grass pollen. I was hoping it would be better this yr after having worked on my health, but I think going low vitamin A has caused some side effects. One of them being the dry eye. I have managed it with eye drops morning and night. Daytime they seem fine as long as I don't sit under the A/C!

I have not gotten my blood test for vitamin A yet, I was freaked out about the dry eye and bought the test but then I didn't want to do it when I was so stressed about my friend. I will schedule it soon. Wanted it to be representative of my general health as I am also getting cholesterol and CBC and for the first time insulin because my fasting glucose had gotten a bit too high for my liking. It did come down to 90, but that's still higher than it's ever been.

I switched back to the kamut whole grain pasta, I think that was helping me poop everyday and when I stopped eating it I went back to irregular pooping. I had never been so regular and I want to get back to it!

My husband is losing hair rapidly on the carnivore diet, he did his own reading about it and people were saying that happens when you are losing weight and will come back when he starts eating more normally. It makes me nervous for him as I know for men it can be hard to regrow hair lost. But it does seem like it will just grow back as he has always had good hair, women at work would be jealous of it! He grows his hair past his shoulders. If he ends up losing a lot he will have to cut it short!

Day 3 of menstrual cycle. Has not been going well. I am not surprised after the stress I went through. But I'll take a few days of my cycle being off vs the entire week of PMS I used to get. I have not been eating gouda or barely any cheese for the last few weeks and my flow is very heavy. So I took vitamin K2 mk4 last night and it almost dried up the bleeding. It came back today and got heavier until I passed a huge clot. So I guess taking vitamin K is not wise while bleeding. But the gouda last month helped the bleeding and clots for sure so I guess I just need the calcium and vitamin K for now. 2 ounces of cheese per day I think is safe. Crazy that my love of cheese was actually helping me all those yrs! I had never had heavy bleeding.

I know at times my cycle is different too, I have never noticed whether it was affected by vitamin K or not though. I've been supplementing with K for a while and periods have been light.

I know I definitely feel better with some dairy too. It does cause weight to go up or stall depending on amount though.

Yeah I've loved cheese my entire life, and was always pretty thin. It was only when I was eating high fat ice cream I started gaining fat.

I hope you don't leave but I understand why you might not want to bother posting anymore.  I enjoy your posts and how you question just about everything.

Thanks @eio 🙂 I somehow felt a shift after saying that. Like I just needed to have a voice after feeling like I had been violated. We will see what happens here. I appreciate you too. I hope for people like you to continue sharing.

So the forum seems safer now that some bad actors aren't around. I am doing pretty good. It has been the hardest last several weeks though emotionally. I ended up drinking coke for a few days as that is one of my weaknesses, I have always loved soda. By the last day I had a hypomanic episode acting like an addict. I won't go in to details here as it's very private, but I did literally feel like an addict. I ended up processing a major trauma that day. It's not completely healed but I think I am on the right path.

Period this month started very heavy again. But all of sudden by the end of the second day it lightened up almost to stopping by the 4th day. I kinda freaked out about it again. I was thinking maybe I'm vitamin K deficient as I had a bruise pop up too. Beef beans and rice aren't particularly high in vitamin k! But I have been eating about an ounce or two of gouda every morning thinking k2 acts like k1, but now I'm not so sure and maybe soluble fiber can bind some vitamin K.. I am going to try eating more green vegetables this month, but not too much quite yet I wanted to see where my retinol levels are at, my blood test is on the 20th. So I will try to stick to the foods I have been eating until then. Just to see what my baseline is.

The dry eye is way better. I have been using more olive oil on my whole wheat pasta in the morning that seemed to really help. So I think we do need fats for healthy mucus membranes! Karen Hurd right again! (and no I don't follow her like she's my guru, I'm listening to my body and considering physiological function we can't know everything all at once)

No change on the buttcrack front (or back? lol). No more ideas on that other than being on a strict elimination diet, which I don't have any motivation for. Plus then what?
