Jenny Jones from the "it is a metabolic issue" group

Page 1 of 3Next

Convinced that her low vitamin A diet had finally taken its toll, she naturally decided to point the finger at something else entirely: the salicylate in her beloved hot paprika. After all, who wouldn't suspect a perfectly innocent spice that just so happens to be loaded with, oh, 3,349 IU of vitamin A per serving ( 1 table spoon)

Clearly, the paprika is guilty as charged—for daring to provide the very nutrient she’s been avoiding

Jenny Jones nearly died from a seizure partly because of the too low vitamin A approach. She's spent 2.5 years figuring this out to be salicylates. You have no right to post a screenshot from a private group that I'm the Admin for. It's private to retain the privacy of discussions of people who need help and are ill. There are other salicylates like unpeeled courgette/zucchini that arent necessarily high in beta carotenoids. Shame on you for trying to mock someone who has gone through such difficulties. Somebody who freely gave loads of her time to help people in the LYL network, this forum and my group.

I doubt she would ever use more than half a teaspoon which is a 1/6 of what you said: 558 IUs of Vitamin A.

She never got red eyes from carotenoids in general. Her red eye has now gone after just over 2.5 months whilst still eating the RDA for Vitamin A.

We all know what it's like to face death, so don’t try to gain sympathy by playing that card here. I nearly died at 26 because of people like you pushing your so-called "research" and insisting I needed multivitamins and cod liver oil. People like you don't have any real "skin in the game." You’re just spouting off whatever suits your monetary agenda, hiding behind your private group. If what you’re doing is truly helping people, why all the secrecy? It’s suspicious, to say the least.

And how dare you say Grant is depressed? That’s a blatant lie, clearly meant to disparage this group and his work. It’s obvious you’re desperate to drag people away from here just to fill your pockets.

Oh, and by the way, you still haven’t addressed my rebuttal to your claim that "Vitamin A is good for gut health." What’s the matter? Got caught lying and now just copy-pasting your so-called "research" from Google?

Why are you such a fraud andrew ? why wont you back up your so called "bogus" claim ?

I'm not saying it to be mean, and what I'm saying isn't choosing sides here.

There really is no privacy on the web.

I get it that it's annoying for tales to be told out of school and bad form.

I also hope that no one on so-called private sites... really thinks they are private.

Agree!

But if andrew and his Phd comrades are doing gods work .I'm all for people making bank, but he’s out here, almost hysterically claiming that money isn’t his driving force. Really? Could’ve fooled me.

@r-2 I'd cash app you money today if you could provide proof Andrew advised a single person to take a multivitamin or cod liver oil. I won't be doing that though because he has never done that.

I think you are confusing him with Garrett Smith, who actually less than a decade ago, WAS telling his clients to take vitamin A, quite a bit of it actually. He admits to this. If we should be suspicious of anyones business model, this is it right here. He pushed VA for years and now he has the detox answers for those he poisoned. But don't get antsy though, because his low VA regimen takes AT LEAST 5 years to bear fruit! What a great business model! 10 years of money freely flowing into his pockets!

Getting angry at advice you freely took is fruitless. I took WAPFs advice and ate cod liver oil, for a while I was angry about it too, but short of spending a lot to sue them and probably losing, what else can I do but move on? At least I haven't died of glioblastoma like many of them have (Lord willing). Your anger here is certainly misplaced.

Andrew gave us all an advice here , i.e to consume Vitamin A for intestinal immunity . What do you suggest ? Should I take his advice . ( https://ggenereux.blog/discussion/topic/more-recent-scientific-studies-suggesting-a-role-for-vitamin-a/#postid-29346

and if he was such a scientist , why is he not backing his claim ?  hahah oh god he wishes he could delete that post 😀

@r-2 again you really should be asking Garrett Smith about HIS money flow, as he was pushing vitamin A for years, now he has all the answers to the people he "poisoned"; only it will take them 5 to 10 years to detox!!! 5 to 10 years of money flowing into his pocket right?

at least he doesn't claim "it is metabolic issue and I dont know sh*t about it yet" like Andrew and his comrades do

So he makes >more< money off this than anyone, has by your standards poisoned people in the past, but at least you agree with him currently on certain ideas? Yikes.

I dont know about garrett, but  I certainly dont agree with Andrews idea that we should take Vitamin A for gut health .

@r-2 he >never< said "take vitamin a". He posted a study which posited a theory that retinoids might help regulate microbiome health in the gut. Nowhere did he ever post advice saying you should take supplemental vitamin A to achieve this.

It's tough for some people to grasp this, but the theory that vitamin A is a poison is still just a theory. There also, theoretically, could be a use for it in the body and this is the vein in which Andrew posted that study.

Vitamin A being a poison isn't just a theory—it's a proven experiment. Grant put his own health on the line, showing real 'skin in the game.' He faced the same temptations—craving ice cream, adding tomatoes for taste—but he had the willpower to stick with the experiment, something you clearly didn’t do. You gave in to the desires of your taste and stomach, and now, to avoid the shame, you're blaming a low vitamin A diet. Calling it a theory is not just incorrect; it's downright disrespectful to the decade of effort and discipline that went into it
