Lab tests after 2 1/2 years & end of experiment

There have been a few times when it was almost impossible to "hold" the diet because of travel or work or whatever and I "cheated" but mostly I have remained commited to the strict adherance of the diet. I have taken no supplement and do practice breathing methods (even before the A experiment) and other things such as cold baths, etc. and do avoid as much as possible EMFs. Otherwise I basically just applied the diet, as did my wife and son (my son, very young, has basically never cheated, which is exceptionnal for his age, but it was well worth the effort because he's completely healed now - the fact he kept with the diet with such high discipline while having tremendous incentives and pressures to not keep it due to other children and also adults makes me very proud of him but this is a digression).
I have received my lab results yesterday, I only tested vit A and D (along with Corona) and these are the numbers:
Vit D (25-OH): 64 nmol/L (13-118)
Vit A: 0,04 umol/L (1,04-2,77)
So, apparently I still have very small levels of vit A in my blood. Now, to be very honest, I'm quite "bored" of the diet and so I have decided to stop the experiment here, especially with good weather coming and will not eat as strict as I have done until now. Also, my whole family enjoying good health and having spent years searching the answers, I really wish to concentrate on other things and just "enjoy life", so to speak. I am tired of "health topics" so I hope to never have to go back there. I will probably never return to a classic modern "high A" diet but will simply not be so strict and enjoy much more things than I do right now.
As far as I am concerned, I now am convinced that vitamin A is not a vitamin at all, otherwise I would have developed some problems. Basically I started in very good shape and finished in very good shape. The only improvement I can see, which may or not be due to the elimination of A, is a longer "Buteyko control pause". I did have a very long "Buteyko pause" with about 3 minutes 20 secs at best and this improved quite drastically as I am now able to hold almost 5 minutes. If I do Wim Hof, I can hold even much longer. This may however be due do other things, such as EMFs avoidance or simply the fact that I do the breathing methods again and again since years and years and is a natural part of breathing development. I still believe the A elimination has to do something with it because the improvement is quite big and fast compared to the years before this experiment where progress was slower and less drastic so to speak. By the way, avoiding EMFs has had quite an impact on that as well.
So, as a summary, I would say that as far as I have seen it for myself, Grant is correct, A is not a vitamin at all and the body can completely heal once toxins are out of it. So don't lose hope, go on with your efforts and in all probability, you will succeed.

This seems to indicate that the presence of retinoids in the blood impedes oxygenation, which would explain the progress in the breathing exercises you experienced while getting rid of retinoids.

Because of Covid, both I and my husband both test our oxygen saturation and pulse every morning upon waking. We have noticed that on detox days the saturation goes down and the pulse is more rapid. This seems to indicate that the presence of retinoids in the blood impedes oxygenation, which would explain the progress in the breathing exercises you experienced while getting rid of retinoids.
