How much what minerals, vitamins, protein, fats, carbs, calories overall and when you change something you see what you changed so you can make some conclusions. This diet and health thing is much more complex than just some single vitamin.. People like to isolate and simplify things.. Which doesn't work in biochemistry. It is so crazy complex.. I have the same feeling with Grant and his health and diet. There is so much stuff going on and yet he sees mainly vit A everywhere.. It's just one piece in really crazy big puzzle... Like I said you should track your macros and micros and experiment. Maybe all you need is some egg yolks, but not knowing how much of what are you eating and jumping from zero to thousands of units of vit A. It doesn't make any sense.. Your problem can be different micronutrient like some B vit deficiency, some mineral imbalance witch means hormone imbalance etc.. I highly recommend hair tissue mineral analysis, good practitioner that can help you balance your minerals=hormones=health..

I’m sorry to hear about your increased health issues. I very much empathise as I’ve had these ‘detox setback cycles’ myself. I now see any increase of symptoms as something not working smoothly on the detox. Being on the detox & actually detoxing are two different things. I’ve learned this the hard way!!
If you aren’t detoxing efficiently then toxins can be being released from storage but instead of exiting the body, they are recirculating causing damage.
Something has gone wrong - you are stuck in a ‘detox setback cycle’. Some people suffer from these & some don’t (being female seems to be a risk factor!). It could be a deficiency, as prolonged limited diets can inadvertently create deficiencies (Jiri’s suggestion above could help). However, deficiency is probably only part of it. Do you have a history of medication? This could be an important factor as to how well your detoxification/elimination pathways are working. Elimination pathways are key to all this. I’m making progress in my understanding of this but not there yet! Garrett Smith is currently working on this issue & is making, I believe, very important advances in understanding. I’ll post when he has released new information into his programme so anyone interested can have a look.
PS poor nail quality & TMJ are two of my issues. I shall let you know when I’ve made progress. The nail issue has been a problem since on the detox. The TMJ went away but comes back when I’m stuck in a detox setback cycle as I am at the moment!

Quote from leap7 on March 21, 2021, 7:52 pm@jaj sorry for the delayed response - I do not have a history of medication. I took a course of antibiotics as a child for an infection - that's about it.
As a general update - I have been off the low vit A diet and my TMJ is 90% gone. No more grinding or pain when I open my mouth. I am actually doing quite well with dairy, but I think I am reacting mentally to sources of lutein.

Just wanted to ask you for more details about how you’re approaching the detox, if you’re open to it.
Last year it sounds like you were considering moving away from the vitamin A detox but decided to stick with it? How did you do eating less meat? Have you been experimenting with the seed oils yet?
What’s your diet like these days? Are you taking any supplements?
I wonder if the vicious insomnia you mentioned in my log is contributing to your daytime sleepiness.
When I was your age, I had wicked insomnia, too. It was a struggle for years. And for me it seemed to be due to a combination of chronic hypervitaminosis A (which I didn’t know at the time unfortunately) and the resulting suppressed appetite (stress hormones were too strong for me to sleep). Going on a hypercaloric diet (high in starches/sugars/fats but low in vegetables) was the thing that ultimately helped me start sleeping at night—I slept for 6 months solid after starting it. 😂 I haven’t had chronic insomnia since then, thankfully.
There’s got to be a healing solution for you, especially as you’re so young and your brain is growing and stuff still! But man, sleeping at night would sure help your brain right now. 🌘
Hope you’ve had a good week, Leap! 🙂🌼
