Liver Flushes
Quote from Ourania on April 24, 2020, 2:20 amIf I understand it right, one of the problems is that bile containing retinoids is reabsorbed continuously.
During the years 2005-2008 we did a total of 55 liver flushes and felt better. After each flush our vision was immediately better but this did not last. Eventually it came to the point that no "stones" were released so we stopped and did one every year or so, producing no visible "stones".
I suppose that this would be a good way to get rid of old bile and its retinoid content.
When I learnt how to do this it was emphasized that you should wait at least two weeks between flushes so as to replenish bile AND that there was a diet to follow afterwards.
This first meal of very soft boiled rice covered in butter.
Then no meat for a week.
I suppose some people here have done liver flushes together with the zero A diet.
Could you tell me if this helped at all?
If so, what did you do about the first meal? This is supposed to help the gut.
What did you do about the no meat for a week? If I do not eat enough meat I get terrible detox symptoms.
Thank you for any help!

Quote from Jiří on April 24, 2020, 5:51 amWhy no meat? It is probably suggestion from vegan or vegetarian.. Just don't eat fatty meats. Lean meat is ok. Even after liver flush as a first meal. Just eat lean meat like chicken/turkey breast or fish like cod that is very easy to digest. You want also some good fiber like from grains/legumes fruit to help detox. Also enemas are good before and after liver flush to cleanse the colon.. I tried a lot of liver flushes without almost any stones. I think my bile production is completely inhibited from time I was on accutane. Steroids didn't help as wel..

Quote from Ourania on April 24, 2020, 6:04 amThanks for your comment @Jiři. I learnt how to do it in 1977 from a yoga ashram. Vegetarian, yes, but we were supposed to be able to introduce meat after the first 7 days.
We released lots and lots of stones during these 55 flushes, until it stopped, they got fewer and fewer and lighter in color. Anyway, if they did not help you in your Vitamin A detox, this is a point I take into consideration.

Quote from Jiří on April 24, 2020, 6:08 amI think this vegetarian thinks meat= hard to digest fatty meat. The point is eating low fat before the flush. But that doesn't mean you can't eat lean meat.. I think liver flushes are really good way to improve liver function which will help detox everything from the body, but not in my case. Because like I said I don't have anything to flush. When my bile production is almost zero...

Quote from tim on April 29, 2020, 5:51 pmHi @ourania,
Liver flushes are effective for removing toxic bile from the body. The stones are formed in the digestive tract when the bile mixes with the olive oil and epsom salts, they aren't gallstones.
A less severe approach is to eat low VA and to consume legumes or oats daily which contain bile binding fibre.
I suspect doing liver flushes could really fast track VA detox, perhaps this is something to do when we are experiencing detox symptoms? It may also be key for those that have taken Accutane.

Quote from tim on April 29, 2020, 8:07 pmI notice that taking B vitamins seems to stimulate VA detox symptoms as does sun bathing. Perhaps a protocol of doing both of these things on the day of the liver flush would help excrete as much VA as possible?

Really? So how do you explain when someone is doing 10-100 liver flushes with crazy amount of stones and after that there are no stones? Hm? The results are completely different for each person and also like I said the result is changing over time for each person. There is nobody who is doing liver flushes years and years with the same result. So how it is possible if they use the same amount of oil etc.? How many liver flushes you did?

Like you said people can do dozens of flushes and keep getting stones, far more stones than would fit in their gallbladder and liver ducts. How do you know the stones stop? If someone does a flush and they get no stones they would normally stop and wouldn't try another flush but if they did another flush they would possibly get more stones. If they didn't get more stones a second time it still isn't evidence the stones are gallstones, it could just be that the chemistry of the bile has changed or some other reason. Also the stones have a different appearance externally and internally from gallstones. If you leave a stone out at room temperature it will start to soften (and from memory melt)...
Most people that do the flush will get stones, whereas most people do not have gallstones... If someone actually has gallstones the liver flush is probably something to avoid, doing the flush could result in that person needing emergency surgery. A better approach would be to use diet and perhaps malic acid to soften and breakup the stones rather than try to pass them out of the gallbladder with a liver flush.

There was plenty of cases people who had gallstones confirmed with ultrasound and after liver flushes had none. Also the stones from each person look different. Some are calcified hard stones. Some are just sludge. I think that you really don't understand how liver flush works. Like you think it is some chemical reaction like taking bile acids or lecithin or whatever but it is not. The liver flush is simply mechanical cleanse of bile ducts and gallbladder. For a week you are eating low fat diet. To build up bile in the gallbladder. You are taking malic acid to soften if something in the bile ducts and gallbladder is calcified. In a day of a flush you are taking epsom salt mixture which will clear the intestine and relax the tissues. You take some enemas to really clear the colon. In the night at 10pm when the liver is most active you drink this unnatural amount of fat + acidic juice. This combination powerfully stimulates the liver and gallbladder and it will flush all the bile AND EVERYTHING WHAT IS INSIDE WITH IT.. The next day you are drinking more epsom salt and ideally take another enema to really clean the colon. Btw as you drink the mixture you lay down and put something warm like pet bottle with hot water next to your right side and you just lay down. You can feel how things are moving in the liver are and in fact a lot of people that had big or calcified stone that was not fully softened by taking malic acid they had basically gallbladder attack, but by taking another glass of oil the stones will come out. You should try it. Full protocol 1 flush every 14 days until there are no more stones coming out. Instead of making false assumptions like that..
