I know that people (like Joe2 if I remember correctly) have said that their Lyme was helped so much by lowering vitamin A.

I recently visited the Museum of Fine Arts and they were doing a special showing of Van Gogh. He suffered a lot. He is suspected of having syphilis. His brother was diagnosed with it. Once home I surfed a little and found out that MANY artists of various types, and famous people, and royalty, had syphilis in the olden days.

Yesterday I read comment after comment from people with Lyme who say they are intolerant to alcohol. And posts by Lyme docs saying avoid alcohol. I have a friend who is very sick with Lyme and the thing that sent her to the doctors was that after drinking some wine one day she suffered a strange paralysis. That was how she began to realize she was sick.
When I first came to Grant's site here, people told me that my alcohol intolerance might get a bit easier once my vitamin A toxicity was under control.
Now... Vitamin A is an alcohol..
My thought is that SOME of Lyme disease is actual damage from the germs but some of Lyme is toxicity from fighting the disease. ie, ongoing Herx reaction.
I think that this is where the overlap may be. By clearing vitamin A, we may be clearing the pathway and avoiding some of the Herx reaction.
