I wanted to share my first 30 day progress and some small changes I have made since joining XXX. I was 226 pounds in early June and started really focus on leaning up while building muscle at age 50. I hired a consultant to build my macro plan which had some really good things built into it but many unhealthy things too like protein powder (tons of it), Vit A enriched foods, lot's of egg whites (8 oz in the morning and the evening). I lost 20+ pounds in 60 days by following this program and weighing my macros. 40+ minutes of cardio a day + weight training every day led to my abs showing for the first time since my 20's. Looked great but did not feel great. Night time urination increased effecting sleep and the protein powder was causing all sorts of issues. It's pretty easy to see what happens to your gut in response to specific foods once all the fat is removed. On top that, I was constipated and my BM's were terrible.
I really wanted to find a protein powder replacement and stick to my egg whites because the protein was providing a physically appealing result in the mirror and my transformation in just 60 days was undeniable in photos. I stopped my protein powder about 10 days and eliminated my organic egg whites 3 days ago and my constipation improve including multiple consecutive days of the best BM's I have had since I can remember. Sorry if this is too much information for you but the bile must go.
My short term goals are simple. Get the BM's flowing and establish a baseline for Vit A toxicity so I can improve my health and write my own 10 year success story in my 60's. Currently eating beans, brown rice and lean proteins every meal + 2-3 peeleed apples a day + psyilium. I am celebrating this succcess as my consipation has improved big time in just a short period of time. Listening to XXXXXXXX talk about body builders looking good but not living a long life was eye opening to me and I was caught up in the middle of that.
I am taking my hair test and blood test this weekend and will meet with XXXXXXX in October to continue my journey. I love training still but will no longer exchange visual asthetics for health. XXX is my next chapter.
