Also important to know is that people can get harmed by broken bits of wire brushes mistakenly left on grills.

People love to wrap things in aluminum foil for cooking as well.    Probably not smart.

@lil-chick yes using alu foil, drinking from cans, eating stuff with aluminium there is there as anti caking agent and antiperspirants are the biggest sources of aluminium. Like if you cook some meat in alu foil and you add some acid like lemon juice on it. You will get really lovely dose of aluminium. It is so obvious. Same thing with antiperspirants where it gets directly absorbed to your body etc.. But people don't care obviously..

I’m using steel pans. A lot of air fryers problematic re Teflon.

Sounds like earthenware baking and roasting on a wooden spit is the answer. A leather bag for wine. Donkey for travel (grass-fed, organic non gmo gluten free automobile).

This guy has a sheep-mobile.    Once or twice I've tried to mention to him that he could be overloading the VA with his diet.    His various cooking methods are interesting such as solar cooking and his neato cooling system.    He also has to keep things efficient since it has to fit in his sheep-mobile.    He's brilliant.   Toxin reduction isn't his foremost goal, however.  Being a modern itinerant shepherd is.   He inspired me to get sheep, be careful about that.    haha

I wonder if me eating on enamelware dinner ware is contributing to my pinformus/ sacroiliitis issues?

What dinnerware is safe?

Hi Ginny!   I use plain stainless pans for the stove and I've written here before about how to use them and not have foods stick.   I can repeat it if needed.    I also have some Pyrex casseroles for the oven.   I use wood cutting boards.   Stainless implements.   I used to use silver-plate flatware but currently that has been put away and I use stainless flatware now.    I love wooden spoons for stirring things on the stove.   I have a stainless corded percolator for coffee.   I have a couple insulated aluminum baking pans but typically use them with parchment paper.   I love old kitchen implements, for instance, my pastry cutter or potato masher...they are so much more sturdy than new stuff.

I recently threw out an old heirloom roaster pan that was peeling.

I went through a cast iron phase and those have been put away too.   

While we are at it, I do not use a dishwasher or a microwave!   But I do have a toaster, which I may change up for a toaster oven when it breaks.   I love that not using a dishwasher means I can use all the real crystal and special china instead of it dust-collecting.   And I do use it.

I love to use canning jars for leftovers, but they don't always do the trick and I do keep a few bad ole Tupperwares.

Another modern thing I like is a red rubber scraper, you can often get almost a whole serving out of every pan with that thing.    And better in someone's stomach than down the drain stopping it up!

I remember when I was a WAPF'er they would do deep dives into more safe crocks etc.   They might have an essay on their site.

stainless steel pots, pans and utensils.  sometimes cast iron pan.
