new lipstick color on low vit A? (other cosmetics too?)
Quote from lil chick on September 30, 2019, 1:04 pmI've just noticed my lipstick was looking orange on me. Has anyone else noticed that their lipsticks (and other cosmetic colors) need to be adjusted after being lower vitamin A for a while?
Even in the past, (before vitamin A detox) I have sometimes noticed that my lipstick color won't be working and need to be adjusted. Particularly, come autumn, I have needed cooler (ie less orange) lipsticks than the rest of the year.
My guess would be that even in the past the sun has baked some of the vitamin A out of my skin by fall.
I wonder if I will be able to stick with the cooler lipstick all year round?
I also wonder if people who need lower vitamin A are "cool-colored" and have little use for orange pigments?

They have a device that picks up blue or yellow tones in the skin and matches with foundation or lipsticks.Once you have been colortyped, if you log into their website, enter the tone code, lipsticks and foundation are highlighted for you. I typed yellow in the past and am waiting, going to redo it after a few months on this.

Quote from lil chick on October 1, 2019, 8:49 amI don't THINK I've noticed an eye color change, although others here have.
My non-inflammatory facial regions are less red. Lips are paler. As for yellow in the skin, I think it varies still. This is especially visible in the lower third of the face. (I wonder where Sephora looks?)
I think I have had a teeth color change-- I am interested in what Grant mentioned:"it's easier to keep the teeth clean". Maybe what happens over time is a microscopic sponginess of the teeth. I bet this is why oil pulling is a popular thing to whiten teeth.
I think it ALL matters when you are trying to harmonize colors to yourself! I believe that I have been swerving too warm because of wrong yellow overtones and that I am, in reality, cooler.
