New symptom, a twitching thumb. I'm scared!
Quote from Guest on January 7, 2019, 3:03 pmI am about 100 days into a low vA diet. Today my thumb started twitching. Just read it can be an early sign of parkinsons. My uncle has had it for at least 20 years and his life has been wrecked by it. He will probably die soon. I think he is only around 70. Any advice out there for me? Could this just be a detox symptom? I've had eyetwitches and calf muscle twitches before, but never a finger/thumb twitch.

Quote from Guest on January 8, 2019, 7:39 amI use a potassium/sodium salt on my rice and beans, beef and mushrooms - I use to taste and I love the taste of salt. I use topical magnesium just about everyday. I have had high calcium on my hair tests for a few years so I don't go out of my way to get more calcium though I do eats oats made with water and a bit of golden delicious apple. I think oats and beans have calcium? Thanks for the suggestions though. I am not doing so great yet health wise despite doing low A for over 3 months now, so hopefully this is just another symptom that will go away in time as I hope my fatigue and other long time problems do too.

Quote from Guest on January 8, 2019, 7:47 amI forgot - I eat roasted salted sunflower seeds and sunbutter (made with salt) too so I think I get enough sodium. And I also eat about 2 bananas a days. Beans are also good source of potassium so hopefully I get enough of that.

One is ReMag. The other is ReMyte.

Quote from Guest on January 8, 2019, 10:41 amOP here - I use mag-a-hol which is magnesium flakes mixed with cheap vodka (http://magaholmagic.blogspot.com/). Supposedly it is an extremely effective way of absorbing magnesium into the body. Just about everday I spray it all over after a shower. It is also very cheap to make. Those Dean products are really expensive and the remyte contains copper which I am very high in, but thank you for the suggestion.
What I am concerned with is if I could be getting parkinsons because of family history, etc... It is a very scary disease, I've seen what it has done to my uncle. His life has been stolen for much of the last 20 years. I guess there isn't much to be done than to just stick with going low A for along time

Quote from hillcountry on January 15, 2019, 8:20 amThanks, nice tip, I’ll give that a try. Never liked the feel of transdermal magnesium chloride, although I did go through a gallon of it one time. The alcohol preparation sounds interesting. The testimonials were encouraging. I have a good candidate for a headache treatment (93 year old mother-in-law). I’ll post if that happens.

Quote from Guest on January 15, 2019, 8:53 amI don't mind how topical magnesium feels. Some people use the lotions and say they feel much better on the skin, though those products are much more expensive. If you didn't like the flakes mixed with water you probably won't like how the mag-a-hol feels either but I hope it helps your mother in law!
My calf muscle started twitching alot for a couple of days then stopped and after about 7 days my thumb seems to have stopped (calf muscle and thumb on same side of body) Anyway, hoping the muscle spasms were just a transient symptom. I now have a new symptom but I think this one truely means I am getting rid of the vA. I don't want to get too hopefully but am feeling a bit more optimistic that I might finally be detoxing instead of the vA just circulating and moving around without leaving.
