Nico's log

Ever since taking accutane 60mg/day for ~3 months, I started to feel funny, I instantly stopped taking it. As good as I can remember all of my symptoms from the high VA from accutane subsided. 6 months later, my acne returned, my brothers friend was like "you should go back on that medication you were taking." A month later I got another prescription for 20mg/day. Within less than 5 days taking it I started to feel sick. I had no idea what was going on, this was during a difficult time in my life and with the feeling of being sick, and being incredibly anxious, hypochondriac Nico became a thing and the stress I was going through sent me into a pretty dark depression. As time went on the depression slowly subsided. but a year later I still felt a bit depressed. I ended up seeing a therapist which helped tremendously. But even after that I had this feeling like my emotions/everything was suppressed in a way, my relationships with family just don't feel the same. Even things that are painful are slightly less painful. Its almost like everything is just lessened and I hate it. I noticed a few months ago that my hair was getting so thin, I started by taking a multivitamin(unfortunately), I was taking these for a couple months, ended up switching to just a biotin supplement (B7) and my hair has been getting thicker and thicker every day.

Started my no/low VA diet on April 14.

Within these past 4 days, I've already had this feeling like things are shifting. I had symptoms like a had a very slight cold, slight headache, stuffed nose. one of the mental ones is that I've been getting angry over basically nothing. My muscles were super sore these past few days. I don't know if this is relevant, but I've always gotten slightly irritated when I see someone wearing or doing something where they want to look cool, but they just look dumb. This is a feeling I haven't felt in a couple years since taking accutane.

I'll keep updating as I notice more things.

I just wanted to thank everyone involved in this forum, especially Grant for being the pioneer he is.

Nico,

I’m curious when did you stop taking the Accutane (on the second round)?

It's been almost 2 years now. I only took the second dose for a few days before stopping because of how it made me feel. I believe it was late July, 2019.
