I took a urine test today for fun(vivoo), and it said my vitamin C was optimal. Guess I don't have scurvy. Lol. I don't ingest ascorbic acid at all. I only get a small amount of dehydroxyascorbic acid(DHAA) from beef. I knew I didn't have scurvy, but cool to know my levels of something I don't eat are optimal. Lol. Apparently my magnesium levels are optimal also. I thank this program for that, mag oil spray is the best. Overall the test gave me an 8.9/10 score. I already knew I need to drink a tad more water. I forget to sometimes. Surprisingly it said I did not have much, if any, protein in my pee. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that.
Unrelated but don't want to clutter up the page so here's another thing I'll share.
I'm 3 months into the program and if I can time and dose my charcoal right(still figuring that out) I mostly don't have fibromyalgia pain. It's definitely hot lava in my blood from bile, etc, as Garrett says better than I can. If I don't pay attention, I feel like I'm dying of like a flu or COVID lol, until I get enough charcoal to adsorb it all. It's the big dump around 6 to 8pm that does me like that. The bile dumps with food... different variables, so no problem. The big daily dump around that time always sneaks up on me. Working on getting better with dosage and noticing when it first dumps to take the binder so I don't feel bad. Smaller dumps for me at other times have the effect of musculoskeletal pain. Other times it's a headache. It's like I'm detoxing different toxins from my liver at different times of day. Each dump feeling different and having different symptoms seems strange, but ok. Guess it's a function of the livers judgement lol.
I just turned 40. I haven't drank in about 4 months. When I quit, I didn't really get buzzed anymore. This time I drank a little, felt tipsy quick, found my level and didn't want more. Didn't regret it, but don't desire to do it again. I've got a bottle of scotch I may never open. Lol. I was a daily drinker for nearly 2 decades, and quit in a day. No issues. I was never an alcoholic. Not addicted as I don't have such a personality or genetics. Hell I never got a hangover really, just dehydration from not enough water with the alcohol a few times. I've likely got an Irish liver. Clearing some toxins out can do really amazing things, it seems.
I poop green and black(bile and charcoal), not brown, now lol, but I'm feeling better than I have (mostly) in years.

I believe this LYL member is eating carnivore and taking charcoal to good effect.

I don't eat plants for nutrition. I see plants as drugs and carriers of toxins, mostly. I don't see a reason(I'm aware others see it different and that's fine) to ingest them outside of that, especially with the charcoal doing the same as beta glucans, but without plant toxins. My ancestors didn't just survive ice ages on meat mostly(90%+), they thrived that way. I'm not encouraging anyone to follow me on that. The happiest day of my life was when I learned I didn't need vegetables to live well. Ymmv, lol.
I think the lactoferrin opened a floodgate of bile. I've had to keep increasing my charcoal, especially at the 6 to 8pm dump. Nausea, heartburn, etc, only curbed by more charcoal. It's a bit frightening actually lol. Think I'll reduce lactoferrin and see if it calms down a little, I take half a pill now. I'm careful to avoid overdoing charcoal because constipation isn't fun either. It's a fine line to ride.

Quote from lil chick on September 20, 2024, 5:29 amTwo very interesting posts. I can relate to the dumping at certain times of day thing. Nose mucus flows in the morning, eyes get dry at night etc.
I totally get that veg's are toxic but probably most of us can deal with some. Personally I don't think I would have been able to sustain fertility as a woman on carnivore, but I suppose there are carnivore women out there doing it. Everyone is different; and men and women are different from one another too.
